ATC CLEARANCE PROCEDURE

Our New airport has brought new procedures with its grand opening. In line with the
publication NOTAM on the 6th of April 2019 and new charts, It was deened necessary to
prepare this document.

a. All takeoff and landing operations will be conducted on runway 05/23 and the runway
deemed appropriate by the ATS authority will be used within the scope of Preferential Runway
System (PRS).

b. All SID and STAR procedures for runways 35L&R are suspended permanently.

c. For All operations at Ataturk Airport, the new published SID and STAR procedures should be
used for runway 05/23. (see pg.2)

d. New GNSS based RNAV SIDs for LTBA ends at waypoint/fixes designated as ROXUK, NUGBA,
ASMAP, IVGUS, BARPE, VADEN, IBLAL, MAKOL and TUDBU. These points shall be the first
element of the flight plan routes. Otherwise the ATS authorithy is authorized to delay the
traffic until the necesary seperation has been provided.

e. New GNSS based RNAV STARs for LTBA starts from waypoint/fixes designated as GINLI,
DRAMO, ATVEP, KONEN, SISPI, VEVUD and AKCAK. These point shall be the last element of
the flight plan route. Otherwise the ATS authorithy is authorized to delay the traffic until the
necesary seperation has been provided.

USE OF RUNWAYs
The below indicated NOTAM, published by the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation, is
also in effective within IVAO Turkey Division and Istanbul Airspace. Therefore, all pilots and ATCs
are required to act in accordance with the following NOTAM:
In LTBA - Istanbul Atatürk Airport:
• All landings and takeoffs must be operated in runways 05/23 as they are now the preferential
runways.
• Runways 17L/35R and 17R/35L are closed to all landing and takeoff traffics.

The following NOTAM, published by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority, is also in effect within the
Istanbul Airspace on IVAO Turkey Division. Therefore, all pilots are expected to act in accordance with
this following NOTAM:

LTBA RWY 05 OR RWY 23 WILL BE USED AS
PREFERENTIAL RWY,
ALL THE DATA PUBLISHED IN AIP AD 2
LTBA CONCERNING RWYS 17L/35R AND 17R/35L ARE SUSPENDED
