Zoology Science Course Fees, Eligibility, Scholarship

Ph.D. in zoology takes three years to complete. Zoology is an academic topic that studies animals,

their structural categories, and the science of their existence in the natural world. There are various

sub-branches in this field, such as Ichthyology, Ornithology, Mammalogy.

Doctoral students in zoology study biology, ecology, physiology, and development, as well as

behavior and psychology, reproduction, and evolutionary features, to learn more about animals.

Interdisciplinary specialties like ecology, evolution and marine biology are available at some schools,

giving zoology students access to staff and labs in those departments. The Ph.D. program revolves

around the submission, defense, and publishing of a unique dissertation research project. As part of

the Ph.D. program, students must also complete a teaching experience.


Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Zoology

A Master's degree or a professional degree that has been declared equivalent to a Master's degree

by the competent statutory regulatory authority, with at least 55 percent aggregate marks or a grade

of 'B' on the UGC's 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading

system is followed), SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-abled and other candidates may be

given a 5% mark reduction from 55 percent to 50 percent, or an equal grade reduction, as

determined by the University Grants Commission from time to time.

Scholarship

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER:-

● Ph.D. programs are not eligible for funding.


● NIMS does not offer scholarships for the Diploma Paramedical, Nursing, Pharmacy, or
Architecture programs.
● Tuition prices are the sole fees for which scholarships are available.
● Exam costs are paid on exam day, uniform kits are purchased as needed, and club dues are
paid.
● If their aggregate percentage in qualifying exams meets the criteria outlined in Prof. (Dr.)
Balvir Singh Tomar Merit-Based Scholarship, all students who have been offered a
scholarship based on the NIMS University Common Scholarship or the NIMS University
Common Entrance Examination are eligible for an upgrade. Students must submit an
application as well as a certified copy of their grades in this scenario.
