LESSON PLAN IN MATH 7

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the session, the students will be able to:
1. Perform fundamental operations on integers ( Addition of Integers with
Like sign)

II. LEARNING TASKS:


A. Topic: Addition of Integers with like signs
1. Concepts/Ideas: Addition of whole numbers
B. References: Mathematics Grade VII Learners Guide
C. Materials: Textbook, module, manila paper, pentel pen, chart
D. Value focus: Obedience, Unity & Cooperation

III. DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY:


A. PRE-ACTIVITY:
1. Review
How do we add integers using the number line?
2. Motivation:
Can integers be added without the number line?

B. LESSON PROPER
1. ACTIVITY
" I AM A GOOD FOLLOWER "
 The teacher will be the facilitator. Students will follow the
facilitators command.

Example:

Move two steps to your right and add another two steps.

Jump six times going to your left and add another six jumps.

 Using the number line, students will be ask to draw or sketch a line.

2. ANALYSIS:
DYAD ACTIVITY
 With their pair or by 3’s let the students perform the different
examples from example 1 and example number 2.
 Samples will be posted on the board.
3. ABSTRACTION:
 What have you noticed with our two examples?
 How can we add integers with similar signs?
4. APPLICATION:
POP CORN RECITATION
Find the sum of the following?
1. (– 120 + ( - 150 )
2. ( - 3 ) + ( - 22 )
3. ( +40) + ( + 55 )
4. ( +40) + ( + 55 )
5. ( - 63 ) + ( - 9 )

IV. EVALUATION:
A. Find the sum of the following:
1. ( – 1.111 ) + ( - 3.333 )
2. ( 55 ) + ( 15 )
3. ( 100 ) + ( + 218 )
4. ( 28 ) + ( + 22 )
5. ( - 39 ) + ( - 16 )
B. A balut / mani vendor gained P150.00 on the first day ; P78. 00 on the second
day, and gained P49.00 on the third day . How much profit did the balut vendor
gain in 3 days?

V. ASSIGNMENT:
Write the rules on adding numbers with dissimilar signs.
