Product description
The HJ Lubtronic system is a hydraulically driven and electronically controlled cylinder lubrication system
consisting of:
- T155 lubricator responsible for delivering the cylinder lube oil
- Cylinder Local Controller (CLC) E210 which controls the T155 and secures correct amount of lube oil
at correct time
- Set of redundant hydraulic pumps which provide the energy to drive T155
- Turning wheel pickup unit E500/E562/E565
- Load/index pickup E600
- Cylinder Lube Oil pump which secures delivery of Lube Oil to T155 (optional)
- Junction box E302, terminals and manual switch for untimed lubrication
- Main Flow Controller (MFC) E400 which provides interface between the lubricator system network
and the PC (E100)
- Main Flow Controller (MFC) E401 which provides interface between the lubricator system network
and the Panel PC (E101)
- Junction box E303, terminals and IT provides interface between the lubricator system and the Panel
PC (E101)
- E300 Hydraulic Station Controller (HSC)1
- E706 Oil Supply Unit (OSU) control box2
For option 1) the different variants of the hydraulic pump skids are: MKI, MKII, MKIII and MKIV.
For option 2) the pumps control logic is moved from the E300 Hydraulic Station Controller to one
Cylinder Local Controller (CLC)
In addition the system normally includes a Marine PC (E100) or Panel PC (E101) which provides a central
user interface for controlling all cylinders and for monitoring of operation. This PC itself is not covered by
this Type Approval.
The software package consists of sub-software for the units CLC, MFC and PCP. Once the software
version for one of the sub-systems is updated, the overall software package version number is also
updated.
The Type Approval covers all hardware except the PC and all software as listed under Product
description.
Approval conditions
The following documentation of the actual application is to be submitted for approval in each case:
- Reference to this Type Approval Certificate plus other applicable Type Approval Certificates (e.g. for the
Marine PC)
- System block diagram
- Power supply arrangement (may be part of the System block diagram)
- List of controlled and monitored points
As long as the units are covered by the Type Approval, a product certificate according to Pt.4 Ch.9 Sec.1
[1.4] will not be required.
Software control
All changes in software are to be recorded as long as the system is in use on board. Documentation of
major changes is to be forwarded to DNV GL for evaluation and approval before implemented on board.
Certification of modified functionality may be required for the particular vessel.
Periodical assessment
The scope of the periodical assessment is to verify that the conditions stipulated for the type are
complied with, and that no alterations are made to the product design or choice of systems, software
versions, components and/or materials.
The main elements of the assessment are:
Ensure that type approved documentation is available
Inspection of factory samples, selected at random from the production line (where practicable)
Review of production and inspection routines, including test records from product sample tests and
control routines
Ensuring that systems, software versions, components and/or materials used comply with type
approved documents and/or referenced system, software, component and material specifications
Review of possible changes in design of systems, software versions, components, materials and/or
performance, and make sure that such changes do not affect the type approval given
Ensuring traceability between manufacturer’s product type marking and the type approval certificate
