 Identify the notes of the fundamentals of
music.

 Performand read the notes through


handclapping.

 Show appreciation to music through note


reading.

 Make their own piece of music.


The Basic Symbols of
Music
What do we call to a person who plays
the piano?

A Pianist
They use different kinds of notes to
play this instrument
(piano/keyboard).
A Guitarist
The one who play the guitar.
Staff – it consist of 5 lines and 4
spaces.
Measure – a space between 2
bar lines.

MEASURE
Bar Line – a vertical line that
divides the staff into
measures.
Double Bar Line – signifies
an end of a musical section
or piece of music.
G clef
F clef
 Timesignature – an indication of rhythm
following a clef, generally expressed as a
fraction with the denominator defining
the beat as a division of a whole note
and the numerator giving the number
of beats in each bar.
Note – a symbol expressing relative
duration of time. It determines by the
shape or form of the note.
