A) the rotor does run at the same speed as the magnetic field because if it did,
the rotor bars would not be able to cut the rotating magnetic field of the
stator, therefore no current will be induced in the process.
the induction motor depends on a 5% slip rate of synchronous speed to
provide the rotor current for the field poles to be created that is needed to
drive the motor and load.
