Practice Teaching (PT) - 8 Credits and 200 Marks: One of the principal objectives of D.ELEd Programme is to enable you to develop right attitude towards the teaching profession and acquire teaching skills to the optimum level through the Practice ‘Teaching (PT) exercise, The chief components of PT areas follows: i. Acquiring the techniques of writing good lesson plans; and ii, Acquiring the skills of delivering the lesson effectively with the plans. In fact, these two components are considered as very essential for the teaching-leaming process; and ‘mastering both and using them in the right spirit will definitely make you a successful teacher. PT exercise is considered as the foundation stone of the teaching, profession as it (40 practice lessons) provides ample ‘opportunities to the teacher trainees like you to acquire, improve and masterthe teaching skills.
