TERI Press Launches Title by MNRE Advisor: Multiple Choice Questions On Environmental Studies
New Delhi, 2 September 2016: TERI Press, the publishing arm of The Energy and Resources
Institute, today launched a book on environmental studies authored by Dr Arun K Tripathi,
Advisor in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The new title,
Multiple Choice Questions on Environmental Studies, highlights various environment-related
topics, such as ecology and environment, biodiversity, natural resources, ecomarketing,
environmental finance, air pollution, and water pollution. It also provides multiple choice
questions on environmental studies in a concise and comprehensible manner, relevant for all
age groups.
At the launch ceremony of his title, Dr Tripathi remarked, “This book attempts to present the
environment subject in a simple and precise manner for students, aspirants of various
competitive exams, and even laymen. In fact, the concept of environment is meant more for
lifelong learning than for studying it just as a subject. With 17 chapters and over 1000 multiple
choice questions, I have attempted to cover the subject of environment to the extent possible.”
Ms Anupama Jauhry, Head, TERI Press said, “Environment education is not preaching the
current generation about various ecological facts but about actually changing their mode of
thinking by making them understand that they can undo the past mistakes by their proactive
actions. We have to bring about a holistic change to the way the youngsters look at
environment - not as an academic topic but as part of life”.
The book will be re-launched at the ongoing Delhi Book Fair in Pragati Maidan on 3
September, 11:30 am.
