In anticipation of the shifting of monsoon trough along the foothills of Himalaya and strong moisture
incursion from Bay of Bengal, increase of rainfall activity over the districts of North Bengal is very likely
from 28th July, 2020.

FORECAST : Widespread rain or thundershower is very likely to occur over the districts of North
Bengal from 28th July,2020.

WARNING :

28.07.2020(OrangeColour): 1) Heavy to very heavy rain(7 - 20)cm likely to occur at one or two places
over Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri districts. 2) Heavy rain(7 - 11)cm likely to occur at one or two
places over Alipurduar, Coochbehar districts. 3) Thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or
two places over the districts of North Bengal.

29.07.2020 (OrangeColour): 1) Heavy to very heavy rain(7 - 20)cm likely to occur at one or two places
over Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri districts. 2) Heavy rain(7 - 11)cm likely to
occur at one or two places over Malda, North & South Dinajpur districts. 3) Thunderstorm with lightning
likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Bengal.

30.07.2020(Yellow Colour): 1) Heavy to very heavy rain(7 - 20)cm likely to occur at one or two places
over Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Jalpaiguri districts. 2) Heavy rain(7 - 11)cm likely to occur at one or two
places over Darjeeling, Kalimpong districts of North Bengal.

Possible Impact :
Landslide in hilly region, inundation of low lying area, blockage of road and rise in river level is very
likely.
