BOKU NO HERO ACADEMIA

僕のヒーローアカデミア
My Hero Academia is a Japanese superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei
Horikoshi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 2014, with its chapters
additionally collected into 28 tankōbon volumes as of September 2020. The story follows Izuku
Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers (called Quirks) in a world where they have become
commonplace, but who still dreams of becoming a superhero himself. He is scouted by All
Might, Japan's greatest hero, who shares his Quirk with Midoriya after recognizing his potential,
and later helps to enroll him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training.

The manga was adapted into an anime television series by Bones.

 Its first season aired in Japan from April to June 2016.


 Second season from April to September 2017.
 Third season from April to September 2018.
 Fourth season from October 2019 to April 2020.
 My Hero Academia: Two Heroes was released in August 2018.
 A second animated film titled My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising was released in
December 2019.

Story arc Entrance Exam Arc


Summary A formerly Quirkless Izuku Midoriya inherits All Might's Quirk and must now learn
how to use it properly in order to pass the entrance exam for U.A. High School.
Manga Chapter 1-4
Anime Episode 1-4
Story  Quirks are introduced as well as the profession of both Heroes and Villains.
Impact  80% of the world's population have Quirks while the remaining 20% do not.
 If an individual is born with an extra bone joint in the pinky toe, that person
does not have a Quirk, as noted by doctors.
 Main characters such as Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka, Katsuki Bakugo,
and Tenya Ida are introduced.
 All Might, the greatest hero ever born, is introduced. He is labeled as the
"Symbol of Peace" in society. He is revealed to have gained a serious wound
five years prior from a powerful villain which has severely drained his powers,
resulting in him only being able to use his hero form for a short time per day.
 All Might's transferable Quirk, One For All, is introduced. He gives his power
to Izuku and takes him on as his disciple.
 Izuku Midoriya receives his Quirk from All Might and is accepted into U.A.
High School, allowing him to train to become a hero.

Story arc Quirk Apprehension Test Arc


Summary Is the second story arc, the first mini-arc in My Hero Academia and the second
story arc in the U.A. Beginnings Saga.

The new students of Class 1-A at U.A. High School must now get their Quirks
judged by their homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa, to determine if they are fit
to be heroes or not.
Manga Chapter 5-7

Anime Episode 5-6


Story  Izuku learns how to use his Quirk a little more efficiently, and avoids
Impact getting expelled by Shota on his first day at U.A.
 Katsuki learns that Izuku has a Quirk and believes that Izuku has
deceived him all this time. Katsuki's hatred towards Izuku increases
even more because of this.
 Izuku officially becomes friends with Ochaco and Tenya.

Story arc Battle Trial Arc


Summary Is the third story arc in My Hero Academia and the third story arc in the U.A.
Beginnings Saga.
The students of Class 1-A are separated into groups of two and compete
against each other, Heroes vs. Villains style. They are judged on how well
they would do at being heroes.
Manga Chapter 8-11
Anime Episode 6-8
Story Impact  All the Class 1-A students receive hero costumes from their hero
designs based by their requests.
 Izuku's hero costume is destroyed by Katsuki but repaired during the
Final Exams Arc.
 Izuku and Katsuki battle for the first time. Izuku wins due to his
notes about Katsuki and teamwork with Ochaco, which severely
demoralizes Katsuki.
 This loss ultimately causes Katsuki to begin to see he's not as
superior as he assumed. His fight also results in all his classmates
beginning to resent him for his cruel behavior and become a social
outcast, due to his anger issues.
 Izuku's victory gets him some popularity in his class.
 A mysterious person intends to take down All Might with his band of
villains.
 Izuku gives Katsuki a brief hint on he got his powers but he doesn't
seem to believe it.
 In the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, it is revealed that he did
believe it.
 Katsuki being threatened by Shoto Todoroki's powers will lead to a
rivalry in U.A. Sports Festival Arc.

Story arc Unforeseen Simulation Joint Arc


Summary Is the fourth story arc in My Hero Academia and the fourth story arc in the
U.A. Beginnings Saga.
Having completed the Battle Trial, the students now take a trip to the
Unforeseen Simulation Joint Facility to train their rescue skills. However,
villains unexpectedly show up and now the students must survive their first
fight against actual villains.

Anime Episode 9-13
Story Impact  Tenya Ida becomes the Class 1-A president while Momo Yaoyorozu
becomes the Vice-President.
 All of Class 1-A get their first real-life experience of the world of Pro
Heroes.
 All Might starts to weaken dramatically.
 Eraser Head's Quirk is also weakened because of his fight with
Nomu.
 One of the major antagonists, Tomura Shigaraki is introduced.
 The organization that Tomura is from, the League of Villains, is also
introduced and the mission of the villainous organization is to kill All
Might.
 The mysterious individual that Tomura seems to regard as the leader,
Sensei, is shown through voice.
 Izuku has his first fight with a villain with assistance from his
classmates and wins.
 Izuku uses One For All for the first time without damaging his body.
He believes he did this by reflexes.
 The first villain as strong as All Might, Nomu appears.
 It is revealed later on that Nomu is an Artificial Human experimented
on by the League of Villains.
 Eijiro Kirishima slowly starts a friendship with Katsuki Bakugo.
 This will become a key factor later on.

Story arc U.A. Sports Festival Arc


Summary Is the fifth story arc in My Hero Academia and the fifth story arc in the U.A.
Beginnings Saga.
The time has come for the annual U.A. Sports Festival, a tournament of
physical capability that gives the Hero course students the chance to show off
in front of Pro Heroes who might want to hire them someday. Everyone is
going for the gold, but there can only be one winner.
Manga Chapter 22-44
Anime Episode 14-25
Story Impact  Izuku displays growth in his personality.
 Class 1-B students and some of their Quirks are introduced.
 Shoto Todoroki's father and number two hero, Endeavor, is
introduced.
 Quirk Marriages are introduced. As revealed by Shoto, his father
married his mother solely to conceive a child who could surpass All
Might.
 Shoto Todoroki's past is revealed. His father Endeavor married a
woman solely for her Quirk to "create" a child who could surpass All
Might. Shoto was put through harsh training despite his and his
mother's pleas. Endeavor abused her, resulting in her becoming
mentally unstable and burned the left side of Shoto's face. She was
then hospitalized resulting in Shoto hating his father. Since then, he
regularly uses his Ice powers rather than his left side solely out of
spite and anger.
 Izuku discovers that his Quirk One For All is much more than just
super strength.
 He also learns that there is the lingering presence of the previous
users of One For All inside.
 Izuku fights against a student named Hitoshi Shinso and wins,
making this the first time he wins against another student.
 Shoto reveals his Half-Hot side. After his fight with Izuku, he begins
to realize that to be a true hero, he needs to give it his all. After Izuku
points out how his left side is not his father's but his own, Shoto
begins to use his fire power again.
 All Might reveals he too was born without a Quirk just like Izuku and
was part of the reason he chose him.
 Because of the serious injuries that Izuku obtained from his fight
with Shoto, his right-hand gains scars and becomes slightly
deformed. Izuku realizes he needs to gain a better understanding of
One For All, foreshadowing his training in the Vs. Hero Killer Arc.
 Tenya Ida reveals he has an older brother named Tensei Ida. Tensei
was heavily injured by a villain named Stain and left him unable to
be a pro-hero anymore.
 A mysterious villain named Stain is killing pro heroes, claiming they
are not real heroes as All Might is the only one.
 He is found by Kurogiri who attempts to recruit him into the League
of Villains. However, he is unsuccessful.
 Katsuki Bakugo defeats Shoto Todoroki and becomes the champion
of the U.A. Sports Festival (Freshmen Stage). However, he takes his
victory in spite due to Shoto not using his powers at full strength.
 Katsuki's performance and personality would also catch the attention
of the League of Villains down the line.
 Civilians who watched his fights also see his behavior as "villain
like", noting how he could become a villain, which foreshadows
Katsuki's rescue attempt in the Hideout Raid Arc.

Story arc Vs. Hero Killer Arc


Summary Is the sixth story arc in My Hero Academia and the sixth story arc in the U.A.
Beginnings Saga.
With the Sports Festival behind them, the Hero students are scouted by Pro
Heroes who offer them temporary internships. Meanwhile, evil begins
moving about in Hosu City, eventually leading to a confrontation between
three young Hero interns and their first formidable villain.
Manga Chapter 45-59
Anime Episode 26-33
Story impact  Gran Torino, a former pro hero and former teacher at U.A. as well as
a friend of All Might's predecessor and All Might's teacher, makes
his debut, requesting Izuku to train with him to gain workplace
experience and to train him in using One For All better.
 Izuku Midoriya learns more about One For All and the nature of
Quirks during his training with Gran Torino and gains the ability to
use One For All more efficiently, no longer needing to break his
bones in order to use it.
 Shoto Todoroki begins using his fire side more frequently and puts
his grudge against Endeavor aside.
 Kenji Tsuragamae first shows the contradictory laws for pro heroes
which affects the publicity of one of the events in this arc.
 The origin of One For All is revealed.
 The progenitor of One For All is revealed to be the eponymous user
of the Quirk All For One, who is also the villain that injured All
Might five years before meeting Izuku Midoriya.
 All For One had a younger brother who was thought to be Quirkless.
All For One gave his younger brother a Quirk that stockpiles power,
but he actually possessed a Quirk that could pass on other Quirks; the
two Quirks subsequently merged to create One For All.
 All For One is fully introduced. He is currently on life support due to
the wounds All Might inflicted on him.
 Izuku is revealed to be the ninth user of One For All.
 All Might's master, Nana Shimura, is mentioned. She was killed by
All For One prior to the start of the series.
 Class 1-A picks their hero names. The most popular name is Tsuyu's
hero name, Froppy.
 Izuku uses his nickname Deku.
 Tenya and Shoto use their own names.
 Kyoka names herself after her Quirk.
 Mina wanted hers to be Alien Queen, but Midnight rejected it so she
changed her hero name to Pinky.
 Because all of Katsuki's choices were too cruel or violent, he is the
only class member to not have a Hero name.
 Shoto, Izuku and Tenya defeat Stain.
 The laws regarding Quirk usage in public are specified for the first
time.
 Endeavor is given credit for defeating Stain so the boys avoid
punishment for using their Quirks illegally to cause injury.
 It is revealed Nomu is one of several artificial humans created by the
League of Villains, three of whom are defeated by pro heroes and
Stain during a rampage.
 Katsuki considered his time with Best Jeanist to be useless. However,
it was revealed in Hideout Raid Arc that Katsuki took Jeanist's words
about heroes and villains being vastly different to heart as he refused
to join the League of Villains.

Story arc Final Exams Arc


Summary Is the seventh story arc in My Hero Academia and the seventh story arc in
the U.A. Beginnings Saga.
Class 1-A participate in their final exam, the End of Term Test. However, in
a surprising twist, they must face their teachers in
Manga Chapter 60-69
Anime Episode 34-38
Story impact  Due to the increase in villains, Mr. Principal has implemented a new
training method for U.A.; Battle simulations for U.A. students will
now be similar to real life battles, allowing students to gain greater
fighting experience.
 Due to Stain's defeat, the League of Villains gain several new
members: Dabi, Himiko Toga, and Shuichi Iguchi. Furthermore, his
ideologies have inspired many.
 Tomura Shigaraki is seen without his hand covering his face for the
first time.
 Katsuki and Izuku are partnered together for the first time when
fighting All Might. However, Katsuki refuses to work together with
him due to his own arrogant belief he can win all by himself.
However, All Might points out that his rage and hatred of Izuku is
out of jealousy due to his vast growth rate. After Izuku punches him
in the face when Katsuki stated he would rather lose than accept his
help while pointing out how foolish his beliefs are of refusing help,
Katsuki reluctantly accepts help. From then onward, Katsuki begins
to accept the concept of teamwork.
 Kirishima, Sato, Sero, Mina, and Kaminari fail the final exam.
 Due to the wounds from Nomu at U.S.J. Arc, Shota's quirk now takes
longer to reactivate after each usage.
 It's revealed Shoto was one of the students who voted for Momo for
class president. This helps her regain her confidence.
 As pointed out by Yuga, Ochaco has developed feelings for Izuku.
She attempts to deny this.
 However, by the Hero License Exam, Ochaco finally acknowledges
she has developed feelings for him.
 A brief glimpse of Shigaraki's past is shown: when he was young, he
presumably lost his father, as the hand covering his face may belong
to his father.
 After his talk with Izuku, Shigaraki now has resolved to make a
world without All Might, finding the resolve Stain was telling him he
needed to find.
 Because of this, All For One says that he believes Shigaraki could be
his successor.

Story arc Forest Training Camp Arc


Summary Is the eighth story arc in My Hero Academia and the eighth story arc in the
U.A. Beginnings Saga.
U.A.'s first semester has ended and summer break has begun; Class 1-A and
Class 1-B go on a school trip to a training camp under the supervision of the
hero team, the Wild, Wild Pussycats, and their homeroom teachers.
Manga Chapter 70-83
Anime Episode 39-45
Story impact  Class 1-A and Class 1-B focus on increasing the power of their
Quirks.
 Himiko Toga and Dabi join the League of Villains and form a team
along with eight other new League of Villains members, who attack
the U.A. students' during the training camp on the night of the third
day.
 The mission of the new team, known as the Vanguard Action Squad,
is to capture Katsuki Bakugo.
 The Vanguard Action Squad complete their mission and capture
Katsuki Bakugo.
 The aftermath of the attack caused the Vanguard Action Squad to
lose three members; Muscular, Moonfish, and Mustard.
 During the mission, Mr. Compress, who was tasked with capturing
Katsuki, also captured Fumikage after witnessing him overwhelm
and defeat Moonfish with ease. However, Fumikage isn't captured
thanks to the efforts of Yuga and Mezo.
 Class 1-B get their first real-life experience of the world of Pro
Heroes.
 This marks the first time Class 1-B is attacked by villains.
 Izuku defeats his first villain by himself.
 This is the first fight where Izuku was protecting a civilian.
 It is also the first fight since mastering One For All at 5% of its
power that Izuku sacrifices a limb to use One For All at full power.
 Fumikage's Quirk is shown under the power of darkness for the first
time.
 Momo placed a tracking beacon she created on the League of
Villains' Nomu with the help of Yosetsu.
 Momo's tracking beacon plays a role in helping the Police Force
uncover the League of Villains's hideout.
 The Vanguard Action Squad's attack on the training camp resulted in
twenty-seven students receiving injuries.
 Of the male 1-A students, Izuku, Mezo, Fumikage and Shoto are
injured and Katsuki is kidnapped, while the other nine are uninjured.
 Mina is the only female 1-A student to receive no injuries during the
attack, as Ochaco and Tsuyu both suffered minor wounds, Momo
received a head injury, and Kyoka and Toru were knocked
unconscious due to Mustard's gas.
 Of the 1-B students, only Itsuka, Yui, and Neito escaped injury.
Tetsutetsu was shot by Mustard's gun, while Ibara, Juzo, Kojiro,
Kosei, and Sen are shown falling to Mustard's gas. Nirengeki,
Yosetsu, and Reiko are also shown among the students who were
injured but escaped Mustard's attack. By process of elimination, the
other 8 victims of Mustard's gas were Kinoko, Manga, Shihai, Pony,
Togaru, Hiryu, Setsuna, and Jurota.
 Ragdoll mysteriously disappears after the Vanguard Action Squad's
attack.

Story Arc Hideout Raid Arc


Summary The Hideout Raid Arc is the ninth story arc in My Hero Academia and the
ninth and last story arc in the U.A. Beginnings Saga.
After Katsuki is captured by the Vanguard Action Squad, the training camp
ends with U.A. dealing with the ramifications of its failure as the Pro Heroes
prepare to infiltrate the League of Villains' hideout. Meanwhile, a brave
group of students decide to take matters into their own hands and attempt to
rescue their classmate by themselves.
Manga Chapter 84-97
Anime Episode 46-50
Story Impact  Most of Class 1-A, while wanting to rescue Katsuki as well, agree to
leave the rescue of Katsuki to the Pro Heroes.
 Izuku, Eijiro, and Shoto feeling guilty for their failure, decide to
rescue Katsuki themselves along with Momo's help.
 Tenya attempts to stop them from going due to worrying about their
safety but he is convinced after they say that they won't engage in
combat; Tenya decides to also go with them.
 Bakugo refuses to join the League of Villains, establishing himself as
someone who, despite their anger, has no intent on becoming a
villain.
 Society's trust in heroes waver as a result of Katsuki Bakugo's
capture and the injuries some of the students sustained during the
Vanguard Action Squad's attack.
 U.A. broadcast an apology to society and explain their plans to
increase their safety measures.
 However, U.A.'s apology is not well received as society believes that
the safety measures they are implementing are for their own sake
instead of the students.
 Before the Pro Heroes' infiltration begins, Naomasa reveals that
U.A.'s broadcast apology is nothing more than a deception to deceive
the League of Villains into lowering their guards by making the
League believe that the Pro Heroes were too busy dealing with U.A.'s
ramifications to launch a counterattack.
 The Police Force and a large group of Pro Heroes launch a joint
operation to rescue Katsuki and arrest the League of Villains.
 The first group: All Might, Shinrin Kamui, Gran Torino, and
Edgeshot along with some members of the Police Force successfully
infiltrate the League of Villains' main hideout and apprehend
Tomura, Kurogiri, and the Vanguard Action Squad.
 The second group: Endeavor and many Police Force members
surround the League of Villains' hideout to prevent them from
escaping.
 The third group: Mt. Lady, Tiger, Best Jeanist, Gang and some Police
Force members infiltrate the League of Villains' warehouse and
apprehend all the Nomus.
 Ragdoll, who mysteriously went missing after the Vanguard Action
Squad's attack on the training camp, is revealed to have been
captured by the League of Villains and was taken to their warehouse.
 Ragdoll is eventually rescued by Tiger during his group's warehouse
infiltration.
 Ragdoll is in a comatose state due to losing her Quirk.
 All For One, Tomura's teacher, takes action and disrupts the Pro
Heroes and Police Force rescue operation. He has taken Ragdoll's
Quirk after seeing its usefulness.
 All Might and All For One meet once again for the first time in six
years.
 Izuku, Tenya and Eijiro along with Shoto's help enact a plan to save
Katsuki which succeeds.
 Tomura, Kurogiri and the Vanguard Action Squad teleport away to
safety from the battlefield thanks to All For One.
 The previous user of One For All and All Might's predecessor is
revealed to be named Nana Shimura.
 All Might's habit of smiling was inherited from his predecessor,
Nana, who also smiled.
 All Might's true form is exposed to Japan.
 Tomura Shigaraki is revealed to be related to All Might's
predecessor, Nana Shimura as her grandchild.
 After a grueling battle, All Might defeats All For One.
 As a result of using the leftovers of One For All, All Might loses the
One For All Quirk for good.
 All For One is incarcerated to a special prison for criminals for
whom the death penalty is not enough. Stain is revealed to be in the
same prison as the latter.
 The Police Force decide to reform their ways so that they can play an
active role in apprehending villains rather than retrieving villains that
Pro Heroes defeat.
 Due to the attack on the Villains hideout, Best Jeanist is forced to
take a leave of absence due to his wounds while Ragdoll is forced to
retire due to her Quirk stolen.
 It is revealed in the Meta Liberation Army Arc, that Jeanist lost a
lung due to his injuries.
 Because All Might is forced into retirement, Endeavor is given the
number 1 spot but takes it out of spite due to not feeling he earned it.
 More information on Nana Shimura is revealed:
 Nana once had a husband and together they bore a son.
 However, Nana's husband was killed.
 To spare her son from the same fate, Nana sent her son to a foster
family.
 Nana told Gran Torino and Toshinori to never come into contact with
her son.
 All Might meets with Izuku and promises to be a better mentor to
him and focus on his development and training.
 Principal Nezu decides to transition U.A. into a boarding school in
order to better protect their students.
 Shota and All Might visit the parents of Class 1-A and they agree to
allow their children to move into U.A.
 Kyoka's parents are seen for the first time.
 Katsuki's parents are seen for the first time. Katsuki has a
dysfunctional relationship with his mother and father.
 Izuku's mother, Inko, was skeptical about sending her son to U.A.
due to her lack of confidence in U.A's security. However, All Might
manages to convince her which allows Izuku to continue studying at
U.A.

Story Arc Provisional Hero License Exam Arc


Summary The Provisional Hero License Exam Arc (プロヒーロー仮免試験編 Puro
Hīrō Karimen Shiken-hen) is the tenth story arc in My Hero Academia and
the first story arc in the Rise of Villains Saga.
U.A. has transitioned into a boarding school and Class 1-A begin their new
life living at U.A. The first task Class 1-A needs to accomplish at their new
abode is to finish the training that they were supposed to do at camp. This is
so that they can be ready to take the Provisional Hero License Exam, a
rigorous exam that allows students to obtain Provisional Hero Licenses,
temporary licenses for students that enables them to legally engage Villains
in combat and save civilians in times of danger. Meanwhile, the world begins
feeling the effects of All Might's retirement.
Manga Chapter 98-121
Anime Episode 51-61
Story Impact  U.A. High School becomes a boarding school.
 Class 1-A along with the rest of the school live within U.A now.
 The dorm rooms the U.A. students reside in is called Heights
Alliance.
 Class 1-A hold a competition to decide who has the best room in
Class 1-A dormitory.
 The winner is Rikido Sato because he made cake.
 The competition to decide the best room in Class 1-A's dormitory
was to restore the trust between Class 1-A and those who went to
rescue Katsuki.
 The trust between Class 1-A and Izuku, Eijiro, Shoto, Tenya, and
Momo has been strained, due to them going to rescue Katsuki
without notifying the others.
 Tsuyu expresses her sadness about this strained relationship.
 Izuku, Eijiro, Shoto, Tenya, and Momo apologize for their actions.
Thus, Class 1-A's camaraderie has been restored back to normal.
 Class 1-A create their own special moves, and Izuku comes up with a
new way to use One For All to avoid using his arms; Shoot Style.
 A hero school that rivals U.A., Shiketsu High School, is introduced.
 A lesser hero school, Ketsubutsu Academy High School, is also
introduced.
 All of Class 1-A passes the First Exam of the Provisional Hero
License Exam.
 89 of the 100 examinees score above 50 points in the Second Exam,
therefore they pass the Provisional Hero License Exam and obtain
their Provisional Hero Licenses.
 Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, and Inasa Yoarashi are among
those who failed.
 The examinees who failed are offered a second chance to earn their
Provisional Hero Licenses by attending a special course in March or
challenging the exam again in April.
 After the Provisional Hero License Exam ends, it is revealed that
Camie is actually Himiko Toga who used her Quirk to impersonate
the real Camie.
 Himiko Toga has obtained a sample of Izuku’s blood.
 Ochaco realizes her feelings for Izuku after his interactions with
Camie, but decides to put them aside so they can both focus on
becoming heroes
 The effects of All Might's retirement has lead to many changes:
 Crime is increasing.
 New villain organizations have risen up.
 The Police Force are starting to take an active role against crime.
 Izuku and Katsuki have their second fight, which brings forth many
revelations.
 Katsuki's true feelings such as the anxiety of being responsible for
All Might's degradation and his jealousy of Izuku.
 Izuku shows improvement in his overall strength, being able to keep
up with Katsuki.
 After Katsuki defeats Izuku, All Might appears and apologizes for
causing him anxiety over his retirement.
 All Might reveals to Katsuki the secret of One For All.
 Katsuki promises to keep One For All a secret.
 It's revealed that Endeavor's behavior does not go unnoticed by the
public and has only male fans from the ages of 20 to 40 and zero
female fans. Overall, he is not taking his promotion very well.
 Twice's past is revealed.
 He made clones of himself to do work for him; however, each clone
had their own sense of self awareness and tried to kill each other.
Twice was the last one left alive, and due to this and the fact that
every clone claimed they were the original, he has no idea if he is the
original or a clone.
 He has a stitched scar on his forehead.
 He is seen without his mask on for the first time.

Story Arc Shie Hassaikai Arc


Summary The Shie Hassaikai Arc is the eleventh story arc in My Hero Academia and
the second story arc in the Rise of Villains Saga.
The students of Class 1-A learn about Hero Work-Studies, which consists of
being mentored by a real Hero where real experience can be gained. During
his Work-Study, Izuku Midoriya, alongside the three best hero students at
U.A., faces off against the Yakuza group, Shie Hassaikai. The heroes must
stop them from creating Quirk damaging drugs, and save the little girl whose

Story Impact  Eijiro's past is explored.
 It is revealed that he and Mina went to the same middle school.
 His hairstyle was originally black, but after being inspired by
Crimson Riot, he dyed it red.
 His idol, Crimson Riot inspired Kirishima about his desire to be a
hero and charge into danger despite being afraid, which he believes is
normal due to how dying and fighting villains are scary.
 All-Might's former sidekick, Sir Nighteye is introduced.
 Six years prior to the series, Nighteye and All-Might had a falling out
due to his wounds from All For One, as Nighteye didn't want to see
him die but All Might refused to retire and as a result, they went their
separate ways. According to Nighteye's Quirk, All Might has about a
year to live.
 Nighteye's sidekicks Bubble Girl and Centipeder are introduced.
 The U.A. Big Three are introduced: Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki
and Nejire Hado.
 Mirio is revealed to have been a top candidate for All Might's
successor before Izuku was chosen instead.
 Mirio is also the closest to becoming the next number one hero.
 Mirio loses his Quirk, Permeation after being shot by the Quirk
destroying bullet.
 Mirio rejects Izuku's offer to inherit One For All and mentions he
will ask Eri to restore his Quirk if she gains control of her powers.
 The Yakuza, and The Shie Hassaikai, are introduced as well as their
leader, Kai Chisaki. They have been spreading Quirk destroying
bullets throughout the country for profit and to destroy the justice of
the world.
 A girl named Eri is introduced who has the ability to rewind anything
she touches back to a former state. Chisaki is mining her body to use
for his plans to bring the Yakuza back to the top using her blood to
make Quirk destroying bullets.
 Eri has no control over her powers, as she accidentally erased her
father from existence when she was little. As stated by Shota, they
cannot rely on her Quirk due to her inability to control it.
 Kirishima has his first major fight against villains and wins with
assistance from Fat Gum.
 The Villain Magne is killed by Overhaul.
 Compress loses his left arm against Overhaul. He later gains a cyborg
left arm.
 Himiko and Twice are recruited by Chisaki to help escape from the
Hero's pursuing them. However, they are really trying to sabotage his
organization from the inside, due to Twice feeling guilty for Magne's
death.
 With Eri's help, Izuku is able to defeat Overhaul and his organization
is arrested.
 The League of Villains attack the convoy unit carrying Overhaul.
They steal his perfected Quirk destroying bullets while Compress and
Shigaraki destroy his arms, preventing him from ever using his Quirk
again.
 According to Nighteye, it is impossible to change the outcome of the
future he sees with his Quirk, Foresight. He believed he and Izuku
were destined to die at the hands of Overhaul and that Overhaul
would escape. Izuku proves him wrong and defeats Overhaul and
saves Eri, making this the first time his Foresight was proven wrong.
 Sir Nighteye sacrifices himself to ensure Eri's safety and dies of his
wounds, making him the first major character to die in the series.
 Before he dies, he makes peace with All Might and Izuku,
acknowledging that the latter is worthy to have One For All.
 He uses his Quirk one final time on Mirio, reassuring his student that
he will become an outstanding hero.

Story Arc Remedial Course Arc


Summary The Remedial Course Arc is the twelfth story arc in My Hero Academia, as
well as the third story arc in the Rise of Villains Saga.
Katsuki and Shoto attend a special Hero License course, having both failed
the second phase of the exam. There, they encounter two familiar students
from Shiketsu High School, and the four are tasked with winning the hearts
of elementary school children. All the while, Endeavor has a serious talk with
All Might about being the Symbol of Peace.

Story Impact  Camie is revealed to have survived Himiko Toga’s assault, though
she has no recollection of it.
 Details about Yuga Aoyama's history and Quirk are revealed.
 Yuga has to wear his belt or else his laser would go all over the
place.
 Yuga befriends Izuku as a result of their similarities.

Story Arc U.A. School Festival Arc


Summary The U.A. School Festival Arc ( 雄英文化祭編 Yūei Bunkasai-hen?) is the
thirteenth story arc in My Hero Academia, as well as the fourth story arc in
the Rise of Villains Saga.
U.A. is holding its annual School Festival and Class 1-A decides to perform a
dance with a live band in the hopes to ease the public's doubt of their worth.
At the same time, Izuku works to get Eri to smile with the performance from
his class. A gentleman and his partner, however, plan to make their mark on
history with U.A. and the School Festival as their target.

Story Impact  Izuku has started practicing long range attacks.
 After receiving support gloves created by Mei, Izuku develops a new
long-ranged move called Delaware Smash Air Force.
 Izuku defeats his first villain by himself, in public, since gaining his
provisional hero license.

Story Arc Pro Hero Arc


Summary The Pro Hero Arc ( プロヒーロー編 Puro Hīrō-hen?)[1] is the fourteenth
story arc in My Hero Academia, as well as the fifth story arc in the Rise of
Villains Saga.
The new Hero rankings are officially announced, declaring that Endeavor is
now the No.1 Pro Hero. He must now live up to the position while taking on
the most fearsome Nomu yet.
