I. Project Rationale and Objectives

Rationale
Initially, the sewer established its market within the locality of Barangay Runruno
and FCF Minerals Corporation. The women involved in the sewing project is now
earning income from the business. Enhancing the quality of sewing is needed in order to
have a competitive advantage, offering an exceptional value and create a wow factor to
their products. With these, the business will be establishing more market.
The Runo Sewing Services had been established through the partnership of
BLGU-Runruno and FCF Minerals Corporation. The BLGU allocated fund from SDMP
2018 budget for the conduct of Training on Tailoring NCII and start-up capital for the
purchase of sewing machine and other sewing accessories needed in the sewing
business.
But the members needs skills enhancement on sewing to upgrade their
knowledge particularly on the core competencies particularly measuring, pattern making
and cutting under the Dressmaking NC II Training of TESDA.
This proposed training on the core competencies is indispensable for the
members for mastery of techniques, methods and skills required in improving the quality
of products produced.
Through this training, the Runruno Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative and
TESDA Nueva Vizcaya could help the members of Runo Sewing Services in enhancing
their sewing skills that could lead them to expand their business.
Hence, this Training on Dressmaking NC II was proposed for funding by the
Runruno Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative in partnership with TESDA-Nueva
Vizcaya.

Objectives
Generally, the project aims to sustain the livelihood of beneficiaries through
continues support in terms of technical and financial.
Specifically, the project sought to attain the following objectives.
a) To enhanced the quality of sewed garments and other products.
b) To increase income of the beneficiary by expanding its business.
 II. Project Description
Enhancement of skills of sewers thru the continuity of sewing training
provided to complete four (4) core competencies (Measuring, Cutting, pattern making
and sewing) under the Dressmaking NC II. The training will be a community based
training to be conducted in the barangay hall for 15 days. The fund from RCMPC will
be utilized as indicated in the budgetary requirements.
