PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION
Multimodal Advocacy Campaign

Rationale:

The multimodal video campaign output provides an avenue for students to enhance their
creativity, communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills as well as their
information, media, and technology literacy as they create a multimodal and multimedia
presentation addressing a pressing issue. This task aims to raise awareness on specific
issue besetting our country, to promote Filipino values and culture, and to increase
involvement of the students as a whole.

 Guidelines
1. The video entry must be a multimodal advocacy campaign addressing current
socio-economic and political issue (e.g., good governance, responsible citizenship,
disaster preparedness, environmental protection, poverty reduction, health
awareness, etc.).
2. The video entry must be in a variety of multimedia forms combining print, audio,
visual, and web-based materials.
3. The video must not include the following: 1) racist, sexist, or other offensive
remarks, 2) nudity or sexual content, 3) violation of privacy laws of individuals or
companies, and 4) any other offensive or inappropriate content. Violation of these
parameters will result in immediate disqualification.
4. Video must be in one of the following formats: FLV or MP4. Participants are
responsible for retaining at least one copy of the video in the event of a damaged or
lost file.
5. The running time of the video must be between 60 to 120 seconds, including credits.
6. Submitted video must cite all outside sources used, and these citations must be
included as end credits. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate
disqualification.
7. The video shall be in English and shall not include the participants’ names, course
and section in the end credits.
8. The video must be submitted on or before February 1, 2021 via email..
