(ERRATA/AMMENDMENT/ADDENDUM NO. 2)

1. ERRATA:-
(i) Para 3 of page (2) of SOR shall be read as follows:-
"This shedule of Rates (SOR) is brought into force from 01-9-2004 and
shall be applicable for maintenance and construction of Roads for the
entire National Highway and Bridge Zone of Chhattisgarh PWD"
(ii) The unit of item no. 8.7(B) shall be read as "Sqm" in place of
"Tonne".
(iii) The rate of item no. 8.6 shall be read as "9113.00" in place of
14731.00.
2. AMMENDMENT :- The rates of Emulsion (rapid setting), Bitumen (60/70
grade) and CRMB-60 mentioned in para 7 of "General Notes" of SOR has been
ammended as follows due to rise in rates of petroleum byproducts day-by-day:
(i) Bitumen 60/70 grade (at site of work) - Rs. 17200.00 per M.T.
(ii) Bitumen Emulsion (R.S.) (at site of work) - Rs. 19700.00 per M.T.
(iii) CRMB-60 (at site of work) - Rs. 20500.00 per M.T.
Accordnigly the chapter R-5 "Base and Surface
Courses (Bituminous)" and chapter R-10 "Maintenance of Roads" have been analysed
and rates have been modified as follows :-
CHAPTER- R-5
BASES AND SURFACE COURSES (BITUMINOUS)

5.3 Bituminous Macadam (Providing and laying
bituminous macadam with 60-90 TPH hot mix
plant using crushed aggregates of specified
grading premixed with bituminous binder,
transported to site, laid over a previously
prepared surface with paver finisher to the
required grade, level and alignment and rolled as
per clauses 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve the
desired compaction) as per section 504.
(i) for Grading I(40 mm nominal size, bitumen cum 3023.00
content 3.25% )
(ii) for Grading II (19 mm nominal size, bitumen cum 3030.00
content 3.40% )
5.4 Providing and laying levelling course / profile cum 2893.00
corrective course with bituminous macadam
with hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of
Grading-2 premixed with bituminous binder @
3.1%,transported to site and laid over a
previously prepared surface with paver finisher
to the required grade, level and alignment and
rolled as per clause 501.6 and 501.7 to achieve
the desired compaction complete in all respect
and as per relevant clause section 504.
5.5 Bituminous Penetration Macadam
(Construction of penetration macadam over
prepared Base by providing a layer of
compacted crushed coarse aggregate using chips
spreader with alternate applications of
bituminous binder and key aggregates and
rolling with a smooth wheeled steel roller 8-10
tonne capacity to achieve the desired degree of
compaction) as per section 505.
A 50 mm thick sqm 145.00
B 75 mm thick sqm 196.00
5.6 Built-Up-Spray Grout (Providing, laying and sqm 124.00
rolling of built-up-spray grout layer over
prepared base consisting of a two layer
composite construction of compacted crushed
coarse aggregates using motor grader for
aggregates. key stone chips spreader may be
used with application of bituminous binder after
each layer, and with key aggregates placed on
top of the second layer to serve as a Base
conforming to the line, grades and cross-section
specified, the compacted layer thickness being
75 mm) as per section 506.
5.7 Built-Up-Spray Grout (Providing, laying and cum 1653.00
rolling of built-up-spray grout layer over
prepared base for profile corrective course/
levelling course) ) as per section 506.

5.8 Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam
(Providing and laying dense bituminous
macadam with 60-90 TPH HMP using crushed
aggregates of specified grading, premixed with
bituminous binder @ 4.0 to 4.5% by weight of
total mix of mix and filler, transporting the hot
mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver
finisher with sensor control to the required
grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth
wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve
the desired compaction as per MORTH
specification clause No. 507 complete in all
respects.)

(i) for Grading I (13 mm nominal size) with cum 4346.00
bitumen 5.0 %
(iI) for Grading I (13 mm nominal size) with cum 4864.00
CRMB 60- 5.0 %
(Iii) for Grading II (10 mm nominal size) with cum 4571.00
bitumen 6.0 %
(iv) for Grading II (10 mm nominal size) with cum 5135.00
CRMB 60 - 6.0 %
5.11 Surface Dressing (Providing and laying surface
dressing as wearing course in single coat using
crushed stone aggregates of specified size on a
layer of bituminous binder laid on prepared
surface and rolling with 8-10 tonne smooth
wheeled steel roller) as per section 510.

5.14 Seal Coat (Providing and laying seal coat
sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to
the specified levels, grade and cross fall using
Type A and B seal coats) ) as per section 513.
(i) Case - I : Type A sqm 26.00
(ii) Case - II : Type B (Providing and laying of sqm 21.00
premix sand seal coat with HMP of
appropriate capacity not less than 60 tonnes/
hours using crushed stone chipping 6.7 mm
size and penetration bitumen of suitable
grade.)
5.15 Mastic Asphalt (Providing and laying 25 mm sqm 241.00
thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving
grade bitumen meeting the requirements given in
table 500-29, prepared by using mastic cooker
and laid to required level and slope after
cleaning the surface, including providing
antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine-
grained hard stone chipping of 13.2 mm nominal
size at the rate of 0.005cum per 10 sqm and at an
approximate spacing of 10 cm center to center in
both directions, pressed into surface when the
temperature of surfaces not less than 1000C,
protruding 1 mm to 4 mm over mastic surface,
all complete as per clause 515.)

MAINTENANCE OF ROADS

8.35 Providing and fixing Raised Pavement Markers each 550.00
made of polycarbonate moulded body and
reflective panels with micro prismatic lens
capable of providing total internal reflection of
the light entering the lens face conforming to
ASTM D 4280 type H and complying to
guidelines issued by MORT&H
(RW/NH/33023/10/97-DOIII.).The height,
width, length and area shall not exceed 20
mm, 130 mm, 105 mm and 13
Sq.cm.respectively and fixing without nails but
by bitumen adhesive or synthetic epoxy resin as
per manufacturer's recommendation including
site clearance etc. complete.
8.36 Providing and fixing of Route Marker Sign each 2980.00
Board with High Intensity Grade Retro-
reflective Sheeting ( as per section 800.1.3 )
made of 1.5 mm thick alluminium sheet. The
single vertical post made from M.S. angle post (
75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm) firmly fixed to the
ground by means of properly designed
foundation with M15 grade cement concrete 45
cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, 60 cm below ground level
as per approved drawing .Size of board 600 mm
x 440 mm for the upper board and 300 mm x
250 mm for the lower plate as per I.R.C.
Specifications.
(ii) Chapter R-9 "Pipe Culverts".
