Appointment of Project Director on Contract Basis

Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt.) Limited (BIFPCL), a 50:50 Joint Venture Company of
Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), Bangladesh and NTPC Limited, India is setting up a 2x660 MW
Matiree Super Thermal Power Project at Rampal in Bagerhat District of Bangladesh. The Company is looking for an
experienced and qualified power professional for appointment on contract basis for the following post:

2x660 MW Maitree Super Thermal Power Project, Rampal, District: Bagerhat,
Bangladesh
/  He will be responsible for construction & commissioning of the above
project and will be looking after overall activities of implementing the
project in a time bound manner with quality control while maintaining the
highest standards of health, safety and environment (HSE) as per company
policy.
 He is also required to maintain a close liaison with concerned agencies /
authorities etc.
Engineering graduate from a recognized university/institution
 At least 25 year of experience in the areas of Engineering, project
construction & management, commissioning, operations of coal fired
power project/plant, in a large power generation organization of repute,
with unit(s) size of at least 500MW.
 Experience of implementation of at least one Greenfield super critical or
ultra-super critical thermal power project with unit size 600 MW and
above from conceptualization to commissioning shall be preferred.
 Candidate may preferably have exposure of dealing with international
contracts and engineering consultants for execution of projects.
 Proven track record of at least 3 years at the senior management position
in a large and reputed organization.
