about dog fouling. If you see someone wearing

PORTARLINGTON MEALS ON
WHEELS
Portarlington Social Services will celebrate
50 years serving the public next year.
Started in September 1072 by a group of
community spirited local people from
different social and religious backgrounds,
who saw the need for this service in
Portarlington 7 surrounding areas. These
people gave generously of their time and
talents to establish this important service.
Delivery of approximately 55 meals per
day is still undertaken 3 times weekly, by a
very loyal group of over 70 people, who
give of their time so generously. This
means that last year up to 10,000 meals
were prepared and delivered. The people
who receive the meals are recommended
for this service by their doctor or the local
Primary Care Nurses. To continue with
this service, we are always looking for new
volunteers on the Committee. If you are
interested, please email
