The gastronomy of the Peruvian jungle is very varied,
it is very unique at all levels. In most of its dishes, various products of river fish, bananas and mountain meat are used. They are strong and nutritious foods and most of them are part of the same region.
Most of the meals have bushmeat, so it is advisable to
know where to eat the dishes when you get to the jungle and make sure that the meat from the farm is sunny.
These are the most representative typical dishes of
San Martin: they are the Avispa Juane, the Patarashca, the Fish Chipado, the Rumo-Api and Sara- Api soups and the Tacacho with jerky and / or chorizo. The gastronomy of San Martín is more or less similar to that of the other departments of the Peruvian jungle, such as Loreto, Amazonas, Ucayali and Madre de Dios.
