5. DUTY SHEET:

5.1 Compliance and interpretation o f the Public Service Act, Education Act. Public
Service Staff Rules and other related Acts and Regulations.

5.2 To assist and support teachers in teaching methodology on subjects in the region.

5.3 To monitor the effectiveness of the broad curriculum.

5.4 To assist teachers to tench and assess the basic competencies according to the set
standards.

5.5 Support, motivate and guide teachers through school visits.

5.6 Assisting in planning, coordinating and facilitating workshops.

5.7 To ensure that subject related directives are disseminated to schools and
implemented.

5.8 Assisting with curriculum research and development.

5.9 Provide regular subject reports to the immediate supervisor.

5.10 Observe classroom teaching for the purpose of improving teaching standards.

5.11 Assisting with examination assessment and setting standards.

5 .12 Advice on book orders and equipment orders.

5.13 Evaluate performance of subordinates.

5.14 Keeping and monitoring the attendance register.

5.15 Any other work related duties assigned by the supervisor.
