Job Responsibilities: Playing a key role in providing the Operating System and Hardware
support.
Key Responsibilities:
Suggesting and updating of Bios, Firmware and others critical updates for all OEM
servers, as per OEM suggestion(DELL,HP,IMB, FUJITSU)
Roll back plan has been done before performing any BIOS/Firmware updating.
Actively involved in resource scheduling, task allocation among team members and co-
ordination with the onsite project teams
Wintel Operations:
Installing and Configuring of windows 2000, 2003 , 2008 & 2012 servers and Solving
Operating System related issues.
Handling, IBM X series 220, 236,345,346 & 366, Dell Power Edge server R910, R710, R900,
2950, R710, R620, HP DL 380 ,360, BL 460 Various of Generation storage AMS2100, DELL
MD 3000,MD300i,MD3200. In storage LUN creation and assign, Hardware monitoring,
vendor co-ordination for hardware issue.
Installing and Configuring Windows Server Update Services to deploy the latest Microsoft
patches to Windows 2000, 2003 ,2008 & 2012 servers.
Hard Drive Defragmentation, Managing Disk Compression & Usage.
Troubleshooting Tape library and tape drive issue, and log a case with Vendor for
hardware related issue.
Handling server/Storage related tickets through WCCC (Current organization tool)
Installation, Configuration and Administration of VMware VSphere5, ESX 6.5, Hosted in
VMware
Responsible in creating VMs, port groups, Vlans and also allocation of resource like CPU,
Memory, and Disk as per the requirement of the client.
Creating and maintaining Volumes, Mounting Volumes over the VMs, Snapshot
Configuration, RAID, etc.
Installation and maintenance of ESX host and configure Venter (vmotion , snap shot &
clone )
usage etc using the monitoring tools.
Remote Tools : VNC, Web-EX.
Job Responsibilities
Handle escalations regarding incidents & associated progress to the stakeholders on
needs.
Act as a single point of contact for overall south region in Technical escalations
Prepare RCA (Route Cause Analysis) for all relevant calls within stipulated time
Ensure earlier resolution to the issues to meet SLA. Following up with Vendors –
hardware & software
whenever required &resolve issues by minimizing downtimes
Own CSAT issues and escalations arising out of Skill Gaps in the region and resolve them
successfully
Coordinating with Support Team / Cross Domains on escalated issues
Generate service management reports as mutually agreed from the ticketing tool and
publish the same to the respective stakeholder.
Responsible for improving the quality of the EUS FE & RE’s, by measuring their skills
