VI.Concept Notes with formative Activities:
Basic Fundamental steps in dance (folk dance) Arms position/feet position
In performing a dance specifically the performance in any of the folk dances and other traditional
dances it is very important to learn the basic fundamental skills and steps in dancing. The proper
execution of the position of the arms /feet position is very important of the better out and performance of
the dance.
These are Arms and feet position of the basic fundamental skill in dancing (folk dance)

TASK 1
Direction: Given the following pictures/illustrations of the basic steps in folk dance,
1. Arrange them in proper position of the arms and feet. You may perform the said figures as part of
your physical activity.

2. In arranging the basic steps, you execute the physical activities How does it feel?
3. Importance of engaging yourself to physical activities.
4. In 2 or three sentences discuss your personal experience in doing the activity.
5. State what are the problems encountered in doing the activity.
TASK 2
Direction: As part of the mastery of the figures in doing the proper execution of the steps of the basic
steps in arms and feet .
1. Your task is to get a picture with yourself as your MOV while you are performing. You may do
this as part of your physical activity in or out of your home. Then after paste your MOV picture
on the table below.

2. Make a simple presentation of your out put on Task 1.

basic fundamental steps in dances.

After the execution of the basic position of arms and feet. Try now to combine the execution of
feet and arms as the last part in the basic steps in dancing. This is another part of the participation of the
