1. Explain how science and technology affect society and the environment (5 pts.)

Ans : ​Science and technology affects our society and environment to change. The changes of our daily
life, households, communication and transportation even the things that make it easier for us to live
every day. Our country continues to grow because of the innovative technology that helps us to live
easily.

2. Discuss how science and technology contribute to national development (5 pts.)

Ans : ​Technology plays a Fundamental role in wealth creation, improvement of the quality of life and
real economic growth and transformation in any society. It is on recognition of the above that this paper
examines the concept of technology emphasizing the relationship between Science and technology, the
key role of science and technology in societal Development as well as the role/importance of science
and technology in National Development. Science and technology holds the key to progress and
development of nations.

3. Discuss how the ideas postulated by the scientists contributed to the spark of scientific revolution

Copernican Revolution (10 pts)

Ans​ ​: ​In the Copernican revolution, most believed that Earth held its place at the center of the universe.
One of the glaring mathematical problems with this model was that the planets, on occasion, would
travel backward across the sky over several nights of observation. He distributed a book that set out his
view of the universe. In it, he proposed that the center of the universe was not earth, but the sun lay
near it.He concurred with the scientists before him that the distance from the Earth to the Sun is
negligible compared to the distance from the Earth to the stars.

Darwinian Revolution(10 pts)

 Ans : ​The Darwinian revolution was considered to be one of the controversial
intellectual revolutions of its time. He completed the Copernican Revolution by drawing
out for biology the notion of nature as a system of matter in motion governed by natural
laws. The adaptive features of organisms could now be explained, like the phenomena
of the inanimate world, as the result of natural processes, without recourse to an
Intelligent Designer. This theory became very controversial as people perceived it to be
contradictory to the church’s teachings that the source of life is a powerful creator.

c. Freudian Revolution(10 pts)

Ans : ​Sigmund Freud was the first psychoanalyst and a true pioneer in the recognition of
the importance of unconscious mental activity. His theories on the inner workings of the
human mind, which seemed so revolutionary at the turn of the century, are now widely
accepted by most schools of psychological thought. He coined the term "psychoanalysis"
and for the next forty years of his life, he worked on thoroughly developing its main
principles, objectives, techniques, and methodology.

4.Think of a problem in our daily life where you can apply the scientific method.
Determine and apply the steps in scientific method in solving problems (15 pts).

Ans ​: One of our daily problems is financial insecurity, many of us struggle to provide for
our family and daily needs. How can we solve this? Work hard, earn a living and help the
family to get out of poverty. Financial needs are important to us to survive, and to live
well.

5. Select any 3 of the 7 videos below and write a reflection essay (15 pts each).

Ans: ​In the 3 videos I watched, everyone was amazing because of the human ability to
do something that makes it easier for us to do things. This helps our country to develop
especially because of the modern technologies that we use on a daily basis. It shows
that most of the inventors are Filipinos
