it's basically a simple sentence that is short or divided

into two sentences okay so
it's just one sentence that is divided into two to clarify or to have additional
information or soap.

alright there are two types of clef sentences.

one with IT and the other one with Wh, iam gonna give you a couple of examples for
each one alright lest's begin with IT the normal sentence i mean the typical
sentence
will be

-Laura painted the house

okay so that's the simple sentence, but i want to transform that into a cleft
sentence

what do i do i divede this sentences into two, all right

i said

IT was Laura who painted the house. This es the Kleaphts sentence version of the
simple version of that
Laura painted the house, IT was Laura who painted the house.

Let me give you another example!!!

if i say, Oscar broke the window alright

want to transform this into a clef sentence, i kind of diveded into two i said

IT was the window that oscar broke. In this case as you can see the first sentence
is focused on oscar
oscar is the most important person in the sentence, but on the clefts sentence we
kind of change everything
because now the most important is the window what we're talking about is the window
in this case

oh right, but what happenned if we have tyhe sentence with WH it's very simple FOR
EXAMPLE i can say:

I knew she was my friend, okay that's one sentence, so, what and here's the, the WH

What i didn't know was that she was also my enemy's friends

see in this case the first part what we have is just changed the most importan
person or subject in the sentence

but here with the WH we are give additional information alright

were give more details about the sentences we're talking about

I love living in this house, What i hate about this house is that it's so cold
