VI. Activity:
A. Situation:
Main Task
You are going to compose a poem dedicated to frontliners. Practice delivering this
poem in a form of a spoken poetry. Let us then put you in an imagined spotlight where you
3
are chosen to represent the school to deliver a poignant tribute to all the frontliners, your
chosen audience, which will inspire them to continue serving us amid the uncertainties and
threats of Covid-19. The following must be noted before you set out with this task:
Only ONE POEM should be composed for all your subjects, following the
mechanics provided by your respective teachers.
The medium to be used is Filipino.
This will be video- recorded while you deliver (because you have to imagine to be
delivering this in front of an audience). The video should at least last for 2 to 3
minutes.
The type of frontliners to whom you will dedicate your poem will change according to
your strand: (Please see reference below)
STEM: MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS and ALL ALLIED HEALTH
PROFESSIONS,including ENGINEERS
Alternative Task/s
In case you do not have the gadget or smart phones (internet- ready phones), to video-
record yourself while delivering your spoken poetry, you may do the following
alternatives (as specified also by each subject teacher):
o Alternative 1. Provide printed/handwritten copy of your poem to the teachers who
requested a copy.
o Alternative 2.Borrow your sibling’s or friend’s phone, record yourself, and save
your file in a flash drive/CD format to be submitted during distribution/ retrieval
time for your modules (this will not require internet data).
o Alternative 3. Personally deliver your spoken poetry during the
retrieval/distribution of your modules (for subject Oral Communication in Context
and other subjects who may request).Applicable for extreme case only where the
learner’s situation does not conform to option no. 2. Subject teachers may sit
together, following strictly the health protocols for a one-time delivery of the
learner.

they want to promote once they are allowed to move around.
