John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth

John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth ’s theory is attachment theory. Attachment theory is
focused on the relationships and bonds between people, particularly long-term relationships,
including those between a parent and child and between romantic partners.

John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth’s theory which the attachment theory can impact to the
teaching and learning process. Failure of this attachment will have a lasting impact to the student or
child; young people may perform poorly and might be frequently punished for their poor behavior.

Success in this attachment means that the teacher recognize and understand how the child is feeling
and make some action to it and this will make the students feel secure, safe, and comfortable that will
lead to effective learning and teaching process.
