PROSPECT RANKNGS
IN THE PIPELINE…Baseball America recently updated their 2021 Midseason MLB Organization Talent Rankings with the Mariners moving
into the top spot, ranking ahead of the Baltimore Orioles, the Kansas City Royals, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the San Francisco Giants. It marks
the 1st time the Mariners have ever been ranked in the top spot. With recent graduations by OF Jarred Kelenic and RHP Logan Gilbert from
the rankings, the Mariners currently have 4 prospects listed in the top 100 (all 4 are in the top 50): OF Julio Rodriguez (2); SS Noelvi Marte
(8); RHP George Kirby (11) and RHP Emerson Hancock (50). The Mariners are 1 of 9 teams with 4 players in the top 100, which is T7th-most.
Seattle along with Baltimore and Detroit are the organizations with 2 players each in the top 10. Seattle is the only organization with 4 players in
the top 50, ranking ahead of Arizona (3), Baltimore (3), Boston (3), Cincinnati (3) San Diego (3) and St. Louis (3) who each have 3 players in the
top 50. Seattle, which ranked 30th in 2018, climbed to No. 2 at the start of 2021, which had tied the Mariners best-ever ranking. At the beginning
of 2021 season, the Mariners had 5 Top 100 Prospects: OF Julio Rodriguez (3), OF Jarred Kelenic (4), RHP Logan Gilbert (35), RHP

format, which began in 2019 following the U.S. vs. World match-ups from 1999-2018. The seven-inning contest will be followed on All-Star
Sunday by the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game at Coors Field and the opening night of the 2021 MLB Draft at the Bellco Theatre, which is part
of the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Two-time All-Star and longtime Colorado Rockies third baseman Vinny Castilla will manage the
NL Futures Team, while longtime Major League reliever LaTroy Hawkins leads the AL Futures Team.

The Mariners were the only American League team with 3 players named to the Futures Game roster. Chicago-AL, Detroit, Kansas City, Los
Angeles-AL, New York-AL Tampa Bay and Texas each had 2 prospects named to the American League roster. Also marks the 4th time in the
22-year history of the Futures Game that Seattle's had 3 players named to rosters, joining 2019 (Justin Dunn, Jarred Kelenic & Evan White),
2013 (Taijuan Walker, Ji-Man Choi & Brad Miller) and 2004 (Félix Hernández, Shin-Soo Choo & Jeremy Reed). The Mariners have had 45
selections (including Hancock, Kelenic and Rodriguez) to the Futures Game since its first began in 1999. Ten players on the 26-man roster at
the All-Star Break (+IL) have played in the Futures Game in the past: JT Chargois (2016), J.P. Crawford (2014 & 2015), Justin Dunn (2019),
Marco Gonzales (2014), Kyle Lewis (2018), Rafael Montero (2013), James Paxton (2011), Justus Sheffield (2018), Taylor Trammell (2018)
and Evan White (2019). The Mariners don’t have any current players that have competed in both the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and the
Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
WBSC OLYMPIC QUALIFIER

Liberato (Team Dominican Republic), Brendan McGuigan (Team Canada), Ben Onyshko (Team Canada) and Julio Rodriguez (Team
