1st Video

There are three things that I learned after watching the first video, that there is a mandate for
schools and universities to teach students about our national heroes. Second, that there are censored
versions of Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. Lastly, Catholic associations are against the
implementation of the Republic Act 1425 AN ACT TO INCLUDE IN THE CURRICULA OF ALL PUBLIC AND
PRIVATE SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES COURSES ON THE LIFE, WORKS, AND WRITINGS OF
JOSE RIZAL, PARTICULARLY HIS NOVELS NOLI ME TANGERE AND EL FILIBUSTERISMO AUTHORIZING THE
PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTION THEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Here are the things that are unclear to me. The Catholic associations opposing the law. Production
of a censored version of Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. Compromising the law to allow some
students to not read the novels.

Here are my questions about the first video. Why is the course named after Jose Rizal? How can
the student that wants to be exempted from reading the novels pass the course? How can we measure a
person’s loyalty to his country?

2nd Video

There are three things that I learned after watching the second video. that Rizal reached and
was able to use a fountain pen which opposes many pictures and movies that illustrate Rizal using a quill
pen. That Rizal and his friend likes and were able to use the camera. Lastly, that during Rizal times he
was able to get his allowance through the money order system.

Here are the things that are unclear to me. Most of Rizal’s statues use quill pen though Rizal was
using Fountain pen during his time. The outdated information about Rizal has been thought to the older
students. A letter taking a month to be received.

These are my question about the third video. Does the money order system also take a month
before Rizal can receive his allowance? Who or what association is behind the compilation of Rizal’s
photos and how did they acquire it?

3rd Video

Three things I learned from the third video, that Rizal's parents were farmers. That Rizal is the
7th child in their family. That there are only 2 boys from Rizal's siblings including him.

Things that are unclear to me. The cause of the death of Rizal's youngest siblings, Soledad Rizal.
The Spaniards knowing the works and novels of Rizal. Where did Rizal master many languages?

These are the questions I want to ask about the third video. Is Rizal a playboy? Who is Rizal's
most loved girlfriend? Does Rizal have children?
