Getting Started
1. Logging in :
● Open our web page https://smarterhomes.com/
● Click on login.
● Enter your login credentials.
● Click on Sign In.
2. Forgot your password?
● Click on the forgot password option.
● You must enter your user name.
● Click on submit.
● You will receive an email with a link to reset your password.
● Please enter your new password and click on Reset to confirm.
● You can now start accessing your account with the new password.
3. Reset Password.
Follow the “Forgot Password” procedure .
Introduction
This screen shows you :
● Active alerts in your society (if any).
● Water consumption dashboard.
● Monthly consumption details.
● Payment details.
● View consumption details of your society.
● View active alerts (if any).
● Manage finances.
● Payment Collections.
● Remote supply and control.
● Raise a support ticket.
Consumption :
1. How can I use the dashboard to view the consumption details of my
apartment?
● Click on the dashboard tab, the panel shown above represents your society’s
consumption.
● By default, you are shown the details of the current month. You can use the
arrows alongside the specified month(eg February 2018) to choose a desired
month,it will show last 3 months data.
● Each bar on the graph represents the total volume consumed by the society
(yaxis :volume in litres) per day (xaxis : days).
2. Can I see my society’s consumption details for any day, week or month?
Yes, you can view the total consumption of your society for a specific date, week or
month.
● For a specific month : By default, you are shown the details of the current
month. You can use the arrows alongside the specified month(eg February
2016) to choose a desired month.
● For a specific week : The bar right above the graph displays each week and
their respective totals.
● For a specific day : Hover your mouse over the bar on the graph representing
the consumption for the date of your choice and you can see a quick pop up
displaying the total consumption of your society on that specific day.
3. Can I see the individual consumption for each of the apartments in my society?
Yes, to do so select the month and click on the circle displaying its monthly total.
This will open a pop up showing you a detailed report of individual apartments.
Alerts :
1. In what way does this feature help me ?
This feature is an essential feature as it records all active alerts (if any) in your
society. Thus helping you identify leaks or excessive usage made in various
apartments in your society.
2. When is an alarm raised?
An alarm is raised in two scenarios :
(a) if there is a continuous for more than 40 minutes from a single source in an
apartment.
(b)if more than 100 litres is used in a single consumption.
3. How do I know in which apartments an alert is raised?
● Click on the alerts tab and it will show you a detailed report .
● This screen shows you the apartment where there is an active alert,
location,when the flow causing the alert started and the current status of the
valve.
4. In case of an alert , Can I turn of the water supply of a specific apartment ?
In case of an alert, if you need to turn off water supply in a specific apartment :
● Click on the “+” symbol .
● A drop down appears as shown below.
● This shows you volume of water lost and its cost.
● You can use the toggle present alongside to either ignore the alert or save
water by shutting off the water supply to this point of the particular apartment.
Finances
1. How can I use this portal to manage my finances?
You can manage your finances by :
(i) Recording your Water purchase data.
(ii) Recording your users’ payments and bill details.
(iii) Set the water tariff for your society.
2. How do I record my water purchases using this portal?
● Click on the finance tab.
● A new page loads , select the “water purchase” tab.
● Select your society’s source of water.
● Enter the corresponding details in the form as shown below.

. Can I use this portal to make a record of all user payments?
Yes , you can do so in the following manner:
● Click on the payment collections tab in the finance window.
● Select apartment and fill the details and click on save button.
● For bulk upload download apartment payment excel and fill
the details,upload using bulk upload button.
● You can view and download paid and unpaid apartments list from paid and
unpaid apartment details.
4. How is the bill amount calculated for all apartments?
Bill amount is calculated depending upon the number of litres consumed by each
apartment and the water tariff set by your society.
Collections
1. What does this tab help me do?
You can use the collections tab to do the following :
● View the total bill amount for your society.
● Amount already collected and amount pending.
● Facility to view or send individual apartment bills.
● Figure below shows you a snapshot of an example.
● Download a consolidated consumption report in the format of your
choice(i.e pdf, excel, csv)
Profile
1. How can I view my society information?
You can view your information as :
(i) Society name,contact person,phone number and email etc.
(ii) Bill cycle information.
(iii) FIxed charges.
(iv) Slab rates details.
(v)Apartments details.
2. How i update society details?
You can edit contact person,phone number,email and click on save.
Supply Control
1. What does this feature do?
This feature allows you to control the water supply in your society :
(i) Shut off water supply in case of an alarm,excessive usage,non payment of bill or
other requests remotely.
(ii) Turn on water supply remotely.
2. Can I control any apartment in my society using this feature?
No, you are only allowed to control the water supply in apartments whose meters
have
a valve allowing remote access and control.
3. How do I open/close the valve of a specific apartment?
● Click on the supply control tab in the portal.
● Select the apartment you wish to choose using the drop down provided.
● Use the toggle shown below to open/close the valve of the selected
apartment.
● Click on close/open all valves to operate all the valve,tick “operate as
admin” if you do not want to open it from user end.
Support :
Raising a support ticket :
● Click on Support tab to raise a ticket/complaint.
● You will be redirected to our support portal where you can create new/track
previous ticket.
