Details on Virtual Prototyping Sub-Phase

Hello Participant,

The current pandemic situation (COVID-19) has severely hampered day to day life in India and
the world. The situation does not show signs of abetting, though with varying severity across
countries. Global electronics availability and logistics have also taken a hit. During this time where
you are encouraged to stay indoors, we fully understand the challenges you may face in
procuring components, managing visits to labs, accessing testing facilities, among others.

Given the challenges you may be facing, we are introducing a new sub-phase (Phase 3, Part A) to
assist you in the Proof of Concept (PoC) development at the comfort of your own home through
virtual prototyping. This sub-phase is mandatory to be submitted by 26 June 2021.

The virtual prototyping is mandatory before we head into Pitching Event and will carry
weightage in final judging. Infineon's team of experts will help you if you have any queries.

Please see below the details of what is expected from the virtual prototyping.

1. Simulation results
Simulation tools of your choice (eg. Matlab, IPOSIM, or even paper based calculation), we are
looking at simulated behaviour of your designed system that can demonstrate characteristics
such as power loss and thermal analysis.
Expected Output : Can be in a Word, PPT, Excel format that includes simulation results
2. Completion of schematics
(To be shown and not submitted to Infineon. These will remain with the participants) and PCB
development (Layout & Gerber , No fabrication), Preparation of BOM
Expected Output: Screen shot/Pdf of schematics & layout (Not an actual PCB file).

3. Can you please explain on the below points w.r.t your design.
