AMENDMENT TO THE ANDHRA PRADESH PANCHAYAT RAJ AND RURAL
DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING SUBORDINATE SERVICE RULES.

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the
Constitution of India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following
amendment to the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj and Rural Development
Engineering Subordinate Service Rules, issued in G.O.Ms.No.296, Panchayat Raj
Rural Development & Relief (E.II) Department, dated 20.05.1994 as subsequently
amended from time to time.
AMENDMENT
In the said Rules, for Rule 10, the following shall be substituted namely :-
“Tests: Every person appointed by direct recruitment as Assistant Engineer
or Engineering Assistant Gr.II shall pass within the period of their probation,
the Account Test for Public Works Department Officers and Subordinates.
No person shall be appointed by promotion or by recruitment by transfer as
Assistant Engineer unless he/she passes the Account Test for Public Works
Department Officers and Subordinates.”
The Engineer-in-Chief, Panchayat Raj, AP., Vijayawada shall take further necessary
action accordingly.
