MEP Engineer Job Responsibilities

Duties:
• Oversee and carry out the installation, maintenance and
repair of a wide range of equipment.
• Respond to all reactive maintenance within the specified
service level agreements.
• Preparation and submission of quotations and estimates.
• Report to manager on job progress and issues on a daily basis.
• Arrange for site inspection from time to time to monitor
standard of work and completion schedule.
• Flexible availability for 24/7 roistered standby duties and
emergency call outs.
• Administration and clerical responsibilities as required by job.
• Carry out, to the best of your ability, all tasks assigned by the
management.
• Strong teamwork ethic and promotion of customer service
excellence.
• Seek equitable and creative solutions to problems. 
Senior MEP Manager
 Providing input to the procurement of the
mechanical and electrical trades packages.
 Providing constructability input to the design
process.
 Managing all mechanical and electrical and
building services aspects and site control for the M&E
phases of a project on behalf of the project director.
 Ensuring delivery of agreed construction
performance targets for the project.
 Managing all onsite interfaces and de-conflict
tasks and alleviate risks.
 Managing the appropriate construction safety
reports and company safety instructions applicable to
the site and project scope.
 Ensuring that risk assessments and safe systems
of work submitted by contractors meet the
requirements of the company management systems.
 Providing construction reporting and forecasting
against the project program in order to deliver the
requirements of the program.
 Supporting the early identification and notification
of contract variances for process through the project
management team and that they are fully and properly
recorded.
 Preparing and participating actively in the project
hand over process and ensure that all appropriate
documental evidence are provided.
 Understanding and implementing project
procedures for all MEP contractors and support in the
package management of other trade contractors
where necessary.
 Setting up clear lines of communication with
consultants and MEP contractors to address shortfalls
and issues that may arise in a timely manner.
 Providing advice to project teams on planned
logistics arrangements.
 Reviewing and accepting related project delivery
plans submitted by MEP subcontractors.
 Managing and chairing meetings with the
contractors and client as well as design consultant
Mechanical Site Engineer
Generally responsible for implementations and
monitoring of all mechanical related works at site as
per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
Estimates prepare and assign resources such as
manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools,
etc., required for all Mechanical and related works
prior to execution. Plans and analyses all possible
construction methodologies and recommends the
best options to the MEP Manager for approval prior to
execution at site.
Interprets construction drawings and studies the
contract documents and applicable standards or
specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
Manages directly and provide engineering and
technical support to all the Mechanical work groups at
the site.
Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works
and coordinates the works to Electrical and civic
groups.
Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure
targets are met on daily basis for all Mechanical
groups at the site.
Submits site daily reports, inspection requests,
estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on a
regular basis or as required.
Supports the MEP Manager in accomplishing all the
goals and targets for the Mechanical and electrical
groups at the site.
Ensures that all the works have done are in
accordance with the approved construction drawings,
contract documents, project specifications, and all
applicable standards whether local, national or
international standards.
Ensures that all site works are done according to all
applicable quality standards.
Directly responsible for the safety of all Mechanical
groups’ personnel of the project by ensuring that the
project execution will be done according to all
applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental
standards.
Carrying out all Mechanical Works and equipment's
installation activities
Attends regular meeting with a client, civil engineers,
and consultant to provide an update on project
progress.
Pre-resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and
other problems at a site that may arise at any time
To collaborate with cost control and planning
department in preparing the daily progress reports
Able to lead site personnel to execute and completion
of a job on time at the site
 Perform a full lifecycle product development
(design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture
and implement)
 Design systems and components that meet needs
and requirements
 Produce outline designs
 Conduct experiments methodically, analyse data
and interpret results
 Test and evaluate theoretical designs
 Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions
to emerging problems
 Evaluate final product’s overall performance,
reliability and safety
 Alter and modify design to meet requirements and
to eliminate malfunctions
 Estimate budget and scope of project
 Solicit observations from operators
 Prepare product reports and documentation
 Engage in lifelong learning and develop new
theories or method

Oil and gas site engineer

 Provides technical and engineering support and


guidance to offshore or on site teams
 Monitors the performance of the mechanical systems
 Ensures that mechanical systems meet statutory and
regulatory requirements
 Undertakes in-depth analyses/studies of problems
and identifies longer-term solutions and/or options
 Supports production installations with maintenance
planning, delivery and troubleshooting activities
 Reviews and comments on supplier information and
assists with specification and ordering of materials and
equipment, and inspection and testing activities
 Produces budgets and plans for specific studies or
modifications and manages the cost control process
 Undertakes general Project Engineering studies and
activities
 Develops procedures relating to mechanical
operations, design and maintenance
 Ensures safe, reliable and environmentally
responsible operations
 Ensures activities comply with relevant
industry/company codes and standards
 Designs and specifies new or replacement equipment
 Reports any breaches of safety procedures to
supervision / management
 Actively participates in and promotes company health
and safety campaigns, policies and procedures, and
ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times
