Introduction
This Quick Reference Guide contains a list of the status and error messages that can
display on the Local Panel of the DryView 8100 Laser Imager. An explanation is
provided for each message.
When the imager is installed, the Local Panel will be set to one of the following display
modes:
3. Numeric and English – The Local Panel displays both status and error codes and a
brief English message for each code.
4. Numeric only – The Local Panel displays only status and error codes.
For more detailed descriptions of the status and error codes and messages, refer to the
DryView 8100 Laser Imager User Guide.

Local Panel Status Messages
Status Local Panel
Code Status Message Explanation
S00 Self Test The imager is performing a start-up self test. Please
wait.
S01 Ready The imager is idle and available for acquiring or printing
images.
S02 Warming=# The imager is warming up. Please wait for READY
message. (# = the number of minutes until the imager
will be ready to operate.)
S04 Stopped An error condition has caused the imager to stop. See
error message on line 2 of the display.
S11 Printing The imager is printing an image.
S12 Calibrate The imager is printing a calibration print.
S13 Contrast The imager is printing a contrast test print.

S14 Density The imager is printing a density test print.
S16 Wait 1. The imager is completing films in process before
unlatching the front door, or
2. There is an error condition. See error message on
line 2 of the display.
S21 Door Open The front door is open.
S22 Hood Open The upper hood is open.
S23 Doors Open The front door and upper hood are both open.
S24 Crtg Openg The imager is opening the film cartridge.
S25 Crtg Clsng The imager is closing the film cartridge.

P116 Pickup Fail The imager is unable to pick up film from the film
cartridge.
P118 Elevator Fail The imager is unable to print because of system
problems.
P119 Feed Err Area 2 Film is stalled in the feed area (labeled Area 2).
P121 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because of system
problems.
P123 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because of system
problems.
P132 No Crtg No film cartridge in the imager.
P133 Media Low The film cartridge contains less than 20 sheets.
P134 Crtg Empty The film cartridge is empty.

P137 Open Door Req The front door will not open because the imager is
printing. Wait until S25 is displayed.
P138 Press Opn 5S The front door will not unlatch because the film cartridge
did not close. To open the front door, press and hold the
Door Open key on the Local Panel for 5 seconds.
P139 Bad Crtg ID The imager is unable to read the film cartridge ID
information on the bottom of the film cartridge. Try a
different film cartridge.
P145 Media Type Err A cartridge containing the wrong type of film has been
loaded.
P146 Media Size Err Wrong size film has been loaded.
P149 Wait FilmModel The system is calculating film descriptive data from the
cartridge ID data on the film cartridge. Wait until the
calculation is complete.
P154 Disk Maint The imager is repairing a problem with the disk files. DO
NOT turn off power while the message is displayed.

P164 Jam-Area 3 Film has stalled entering the exposure area (labeled
Area 3).
P165 Jam-Area 3 Film has stalled between the exposure area (labeled
Area 3) and the processor.
P169 Jam-Area 3 Film stalled exiting the exposure area (labeled Area 3).
P176 Crtg Open Err The imager could not open the film cartridge.
P177 Crtg Close Err The film cartridge did not close when the Door Open key
was pressed.
P202 Override Switch The Service Override Switch is ON. The imager cannot
expose film. (This switch is for service technician use
only.)
P208 Door Fail Open The front door does not open.
P506 Printer Error The printer is unable to print because of processor
problems.

P509 Printer Error The printer is unable to print because of processor
problems.
P512 Calibrate Req A calibration print has been requested.
P513 Contrast Req A contrast test print has been requested.
P514 Density Req A density test print has been requested.
P515 Calibrate Fail The calibration print failed.
P542 Jam-Area 4 Film is stalled on the processor drum (labeled Area 4).
P543 Jam-Area 5 Film is stalled between the processor and the film exit
(labeled Area 5).
P544 Jam-Area 5 Film is stalled in the film exit (labeled Area 5).
P550 Cleaning Recmd The imager is due for cleaning. Schedule a service call.
P551 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because the processor did
not warm up.

P554 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because the processor is
too warm.
P561 Manual Mode The imager is operating in manual mode. (Automatic
Image Quality mode is not in effect.)
P601– Printer Error The imager is unable to print due to a system problem.

P621 Printer Error The imager has detected that a film parameter file is
missing.
P622 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because of system
problems.
P623 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because of system
problems.
P624 Calibrate Fail The imager is unable to print because densitometer data
is out of specification. Try a different film cartridge.

P631 Calibrate Fail The imager is unable to print because of print density
(Dmin) problems. Try a different film cartridge.
P632 Calibrate Fail The imager is unable to print because of print density
(Dmax) problems. Try a different film cartridge.
P640, Optics Fail The imager is unable to print because of an optics
P641 problem.
P910 IMS Down The imager is unable to print because the Image
Management System is not communicating.
P912 IMS XFR Parity A parity error has been detected in the data transferred
from the Image Management System.
P913 IMS XFR Count Either too little data or too much data has been
transferred from the Image Management System.
P920 Printer Error The MCS Board failed its self-test.
P921 Printer Error The Feeder Board failed its self-test.
P922 Printer Error The Cartridge ID Reader failed its self-test.
