Introduction
This Quick Reference Guide contains a list of the status and error messages that can
display on the Local Panel of the DryView 8200 Laser Imager. An explanation is
provided for each message.
When the imager is installed, the Local Panel will be set to display numeric status and
error codes and a brief English message for each code.
For more detailed descriptions of the status and error codes and messages, refer to the
DryView 8200 Laser Imager User Guide.

Status Code Message Description
S00 Self Test The imager is performing a start-up self test. Please
wait.
S01 Rdy U=nnn L=nnn The imager is idle and available for printing images.
Remaining sheet count for upper and lower
cartridges is shown.
S02 Warming=# The imager is warming up. Please wait for S01 Rdy
message (# = the number of minutes remaining
until the imager will be ready to print). The user can
receive images but not print during the warm-up
period.
S04 Stopped An error condition caused the imager to stop. See
error message on line 2 of the display.
S11/15 Prtg U=mmm The imager is printing. Remaining sheet count for
L=nnn upper and lower cartridges is shown.

Status Code Message Description
S12U/L Calibrate The imager is printing a calibration print, from the
upper (U) cartridge or lower (L) cartridge.

The user can receive and queue prints but the


calibration film will be printed first.
S16 Wait - The imager is completing films in process before
unlatching the front door.

- There is an error condition. See error message on
line 2 of the display.

The user can continue to receive and queue prints,


but it will not print until the condition is corrected.
S21 Door Open The front door is open.

The user can continue to receive and queue prints,


but it will not print until the door is closed.

S22 Hood Open The upper hood is open.

The user can continue to receive and queue prints,


but it will not print until the hood is closed.
S23 Doors Open The front door and upper hood are both open.

The user can continue to receive and queue prints,


but it will not print until the door and hood are
closed.

S24 Crtg Openg The imager is opening the film cartridge after the
front door is closed.

The user can receive and queue prints, but it will


not print until the cartridge is fully open.
S25 Crtg Clsng The imager is closing the film cartridge before
unlatching the front door.

The user can continue to receive and queue prints,


but it will not print until the front door is closed and
the cartridge reopened.

P118U/L Elevator Fail The cartridge elevator did not return to its home
position after the door was closed.
P119U/L FeedErr Film is stalled in the feed area.

P121 Printer Error The imager is unable to print due to system
problems.
P123 Printer Error The imager is unable to print due to system
problems.
P132U/L No Crtg There is no film cartridge in the imager.
P133U/L FilmLow xx xx Film cartridge contains fewer than 20 sheets.

P139U/L Bad Barcode The imager is unable to read the barcode on the
bottom of the film cartridge.
P145U/L MediaType Err The barcode on the cartridge indicates that the
cartridge does not contain DryView film.

P146U/L MediaSize Err The barcode on the cartridge indicates that the
cartridge does not contain the correct size DryView
film. Available sizes are:
- 11 inch by 14 inch
- 14 inch by 14 inch
(35 cm by 35 cm)
- 14 inch by 17 inch
(35 cm x 43 cm)
P149 Wait FilmModel The system is calculating film descriptive data from
the barcode data on the film cartridge.
P154 Disk Maint The system is operating normally. A file system
problem is being corrected by recovery from a
recent backup.
P160 Clear All film The system is clearing all film sheets currently
being processed and moving them to the film tray.
P163 Jam-Area 3U Film is stalled in the vertical film path after leaving
the upper film cartridge.

platen.
P165 Jam-Area 3U Film is stalled exiting the exposure platen.
P166 Jam-Area 3U Film is stalled in the vertical film path between the

P169 Jam-Area 3L Film is stalled inside the exposure area.
P176U/L CrtgOpen Err The imager could not open the film cartridge.
P177U/L CrtgClose Err The imager could not close the film cartridge for the
upper (U) or lower (L) tray.

P180 Load 11x14 A request has been made for a film size cartridge
that is empty.

P181 Load 14x14 A request has been made for a film size cartridge
that is empty.

P202 Override Swtch The Service Override switch is ON. The imager
cannot expose film. This switch is used only by
Kodak Field Engineers.
P208 Door Fail Open The front door does not open.
P506 Printer Error The imager is unable to print because of processor
problems.
P509 Printer Error The imager is unable to print due to a processor
warm-up problem.
P512U/L Calibrate Req The user requested a calibration test film or the
imager initiated an automatic calibration test film.
P514U/L Density Req The user requested a density test print.
P515 Calibrate Fail The calibration print failed.
P542 Jam-Area 4 Film is stalled in the processor.

P544 Jam-Area 5 Film is stalled between the densitometer and the
exit tray.
P550 Cleaning Recmd The imager is due for cleaning.
P551U/L Printer Error The imager is unable to print because the
processor heater did not warm up.
P554 Printer Error The imager is unable to print. The processor heater
is shut down because the temperature was too
high.
P561U/L Manual Mode The imager is operating in “manual” mode without
Automatic Image Quality Control.
P601 Printer Error The imager is unable to print due to an optics
through problem.

P621U/L Printer Error The imager detected that a film parameter file is
missing.

P640 Optics Fail The imager is unable to print due to an optics
problem.
P641 Printer Error The imager is unable to print due to an optics
problem.
P910 IMS Down The Image Management System is not
communicating.

P913 IMS Xfr Count Either too little or too much data has been

P922U/L Printer Error The Barcode Reader Board failed its power-up self-
test.
P923 Printer Error The Optics Board failed its power-up self-test.
P924 Printer Error The Densitometer Board failed its power-up self-
test.
