• Broadway is located in Manhattan between 41st and 54th Street – from
6th Avenue to 9th Avenue. This includes the area known as Time
Square
• There were 12.4 million tickets sold for Broadway shows in 2012
• Broadway means, theatrical performances, that are musicals and plays
• Broadway is the longest street in New York

• Broadway refers as the theatrical perfomances in the 41 professional


theatres, each with 500 seats or more
• The Lyric Theatre is the No. 1 Broadway theatre, it has hosted a few
of the most popular Broadway shows in history, it's like the
powerhouse of Broadway
• There are 41 theatres, but only 3 of them are physically on Broadway
(the Broadway Theatre, the Winter Garden Theatre and the Palace
Theatre)
