1. Cấu trúc 1

1.1. Khi nào dùng?

Cấu trúc này được dùng đối với dạng đề đưa ra hai quan điểm khác nhau và thường kết thúc bằng
yêu cầu “Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.”
1.2. Ví dụ
Question: Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job
or shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations. Discuss both
these views and give your own opinion.
 Conclusion : In conclusion, I believe both the aforementioned opinions have their merits.
However, it seems to me that once having trouble in certain cases, we had better try to resolve
and improve situations instead of demoralizing ourselves to accept them.

 Conclusion : In (the) light of both the views, I believe that letting children begin learning foreign

3.1. Khi nào dùng? Cấu trúc này nên dùng với đề yêu cầu ta vừa tìm ra nguyên nhân, vừa tìm ra
giải pháp cho một vấn đề nào đó.

3.2. Ví dụ
Question: Studies have suggested that children watch much more television than they did in the past
and spend less time on active or creative things. What are the reasons and what measures should be
taken to encourage children to spend more time on active or creative things?

4.1. Khi nào dùng? Cấu trúc này nên dùng với đề yêu cầu ta vừa tìm ra nguyên nhân, vừa tìm ra
tác động của một vấn đề nào đó đến một chủ thể nào đó.

4.2 Ví dụ
Question: Studies have suggested that children watch much more television than they did in the past
and spend less time on active or creative things. What are the reasons and effects does television have
on children these days?
 Conclusion: In conclusion, there are several reasons resulting in the problem of children’s much
time expenditure on television in place of active or creative things and the negative effects of this
phenomenon should be taken into consideration.

5.1. Khi nào dùng? Cấu trúc này được sử dụng với dạng đề bài “Do you prefer …?”, “To what
extend do you agree …?” để nhấn mạnh lựa chọn, quan điểm của người viết về một sự việc hay lựa
chọn nào đó.

5.2. Ví dụ
Question : What do you prefer to work for a big company or a small office?
 Conclusion : For the reasons mentioned above, I am convinced that we had better work in a
large company. In this way, the employees might get many advantages such as having a good
salary, working in a professional environment and building relationships.

A. Mục đích và yêu cầu của phần kết luận là gì?

 Tổng kết bài essay và nhấn mạnh quan điểm mà tác giả đã sử dụng trong cả bài.
 Không đề cập đến quan điểm mới mà chưa xuất hiện trong bài.
 Ngắn gọn, không nên dài dòng.
 Chứa các liên từ đặc dụng cho phần kết luận (mục B).
 Không nhất thiết phải viết 2 câu, kết luận 1 câu và đáp ứng yêu cầu vẫn được chấp nhận. Do đó,
phần kết luận chỉ nên tối đa là 02 câu.
B. Một số liên từ nên dùng trong phần kết luận và các liên từ khác.
