What is a Pisonet Business?

Ever heard of a Pisonet? It’s basically a computer unit in an arcade box. Just
like a vending machine for computers. Encased in a crafted vending machine.

Originally invented in 2011 (in a small province in the Philippines) to fight of

the expense of computer shops their popularity soon spread to different parts
of the country.

It’s a booming business that many Pinoys can easily get into and maintain a
good business.
How Does Pisonet Work?

Basically, one Pisonet unit uses a normal PC system which consists of:

 A monitor
 CPU
 Keyboard
 Mouse
 Headset
 Mousepad
 And the vending machine

It’s easy to use. Insert a 1-peso coin (or 5-peso coin for others) into the coin
hole.

Then, the user can use the computer for a limited amount of time, usually 5
minutes for 1 peso.

It’s basically a slimmed down version of an internet café business.

Purchasing things in small amounts appeals to Filipinos.

This is probably one of the reasons why the Pisonet business is such a huge
success and in huge demand.
Competition Analysis: Pisonet vs. Traditional Internet Cafés

Why start a Pisonet business instead of the traditional internet café one, here
are some comparisons.

Pros of Pisonet:

 Easy to maintain because the operation is self-service.

 Automatically logs on once a customer inserts a coin.

 It’s more secure because it’s locked in the Pisonet units themselves
it’s more secure. Only the keyholder can open the machine to collect
the coins.

 It is cheaper than cafes customers love it because they can pay

per minute.

 Security is easy because the computer and coins are encased in

the vending machine with a glass front.

 No extra staff are required as a business owner it is much easier to

manage.

Cons of Pisonet:

 It’s necessary to have a lot of coins on hand as your customers may

not have coins readily available all the time.

 More wear and tear on the computer. More people using them.

 Fraudulent customers who may say they have put coins in the slot
already. So needs a watchful eye for that.

If you’re looking to start an affordable and trendy business, Pisonet is

your business!
A little about Elvie

Prior to covid I worked for an insurance company as a senior manager

and supervisor.

I live in the …. Region?

My aim is to have a pisonet business for the purpose of helping Filipinos to have
internet access for less cost.
One of my goals, is to become an Frega Accredited Consultant and to train up other
Pilipino members to become consultants also.
According to my consultant I far exceeding her expectations!
I hope to use Invest Plus in some form or another with this business.
Using a Pisonet will be an advantage over mobile because Frega is complex and
has many functions available that are hard to see on a mobile phone.

Elvie at her desk and three of her daughters. The elder two are doing degrees at
college. All her children are high achievers.
Business: Current Situation

The Pisonet will be located in downtown of Cagayan de Oro City in Macabalam,

Misamis Oriental.

# This is a very good location and has a lot of foot traffic.

# The units (s) will be in a secure space, see image below (sometimes they are
positioned in front yards or even in a garage).
# High speed internet connection is required to attract more customers.
The Pisonet will be secure here with lots of foot traffic and near public spaces.
We will be offering the community easy and affordable access to internet with
full access to email, games and other internet applications.

Taking care of the Pisonet

 Must have good antivirus software installed.

 Must maintain the computers - such as shutting them down properly.

By doing so, preserving the life of our units enabling us to cut down
maintenance costs.
Maximizing Earnings

I have a peanut butter business that has repeat customers. I’m also
looking to expand into shops and malls soon.

I have been approached by various outlets because of my outstanding

peanut butter that is well received and in demand.

I will also be selling my peanut butter near the pisonet and providing
Invest Plus reward points if combined with internet usage.

Within a short time, I wish to expand on my Pisonet business by investing

in a printer.

1. With a printer I can offer scanning, photocopying, printing, or laminate

documents for customers!

2. Investing in high-speed internet connection is a must. In the

Philippines, internet connection is generally slow.

There are a lot of internet providers out there but there are 3 main networks to
choose from: PLDT, Globe and Converge.

This will ensure high-quality service so your customers will come back every
time.
Business Vision and Mission

Vision:
 To become a leading pisonet café in Cagayan de Oro City.
 With a commitment to meet or even exceed customers’ needs and
satisfaction
 Aiming to be trusted for providing good quality services and better access to
internet technology.
 To connect users with Frega and offer them reward points for usage of
pisonet or similar opportunities

Mission:
1) To deliver excellent quality services
2) To operate in a responsible manner in keeping up to date with upgrading
technology.
3) To provide fast internet access in a home like environment

Financial Statements
Projected Profit & Loss per 1 year
Examples
A)
This computation is a sample of 5 units of pisonet.
a) 1 peso = 4mins | 15 peso / hour
b) 15-peso x 10 hours = 150 pesos
c) 150 pesos x 5 units = 750 pesos
d) 750 x7 days = 5,250 pesos
e) 5,250 x 4 weeks
f) 21,000 x12 months 252,000 pesos – 1 year gross
B)
 1 peso = 3 minutes | 20 pesos per hour
 20 Pesos x 10 hours = 200 pesos
 200 x5 units = 1,000 pesos
 1,000 x 7 days = 7,000 pesos
 7,000 x4 weeks = 28,000 pesos
 28,000 x12months = 336,000 pesos - 1 year gross

Total expenses = 123,588
Less 252,000 = 123,336 pesos net profit
Marketing Analysis
Selecting the best location to put a pisonet business is one of the essential factors to
consider.
It is open wide and has good ambiance.
The intention is to market my pisonet business with flyers and letter drops and
have special deals as an opening advantage
An excellent site is near schools and offices. Many of its users are the youngsters,
mostly students who are playing games using social media or doing some school
projects and research.
However, Pisonet usage falls anywhere between ages 18-50 years old. This is
extremely wide range of ages due to the fact that both coffee shop and internet café
appeal to a variety of people but the pisonet offers a cheaper version.
I see myself moving quickly with this business and eventually hope to have 10
Pisonets.

Thank you
Elvie
