ASSESSMENT OF THE HUMAN SEETLEMENTS IN COASTAL ZONES OF SOUTHERN LEYTE: IMPACTS OF SEA

LEVEL RISE USING REMOTE SENSING AND GIS

Objectives:

1. To identify land areas that are vulnerable to sea level rise.

 2. To educate, enforce and engage the impacts of sea level rise to the human settlements in

coastal zones of Southern Leyte.

3. To identify the percentage of the population density that can be affected along coastal zones

from the sea level rise.

ASSESSMENT IN THE MANAGEMENT AND PROTECTION OF THE COASTAL RESOURCES IN TABANGO,

LEYTE BEFORE-AFTER TYPHOON YOLANDA USING REMOTE SENSING

Objectives:

1. To categorize the coastal resources of Tabango, Leyte using remote sensing.

2. To differentiate the outlooks of the coastal resources in Tabango, Leyte before-after typhoon

Yolanda.

A GLOBAL ANALYSIS OF HUMAN SETTLEMENT ALONG THE COASTAL ZONES OF SOUTHERN LEYTE

Objectives:
1. To acknowledge the implementation of the easements along coastal zones in Southern Leyte.

2. To analyze the coastal stability for the human settlements for the future generations.

3. To mitigate the possible catastrophe along coastal zones of Southern Leyte for the booming of

human settlements.
