15.2.2 Determination of explosion pressure (reference pressure)
15.2.2.1 General The reference pressure is measured under the Pass
condition of 20℃. The test factor is considered
during the test.
15.2.2.2 Test procedure 1.The explosive gas mixture used in test is (8± Pass
0.5)% ethylene in volume. The explosion
pressure are as follows:
Test position ethylene
(8±0.5)%
Light source
147kPa
compartment
LED power
565 kPa
compartment
2. The explosive gas mixture used in test is (31
±1)% hydrogen in volume. The power
compartment of EGKP-T- has the same size
with BAT86-160, The explosion pressure are as
follows:
Test position hydrogen
(31±1)%
Light source
383 kPa
compartment
LED power
608 kPa
compartment
According to Cl.15.1.2 of IEC60079-1, the
reference pressure should multiply 1.45 when
the minimum ambient temperature is -40℃.
So the maximum reference pressure of the light
source compartment of EGKP-T- is 555kPa.
So the maximum reference pressure of the
power compartment is 882kPa.
