5. I didn’t want to go to university when I leave high school.

6. I’m not sure what I will do when I leave school. It depends on my exam result.

7. I wasn’t surprised when I heard that they had decided to get divorced, I never understood why they
got married.

8. When we move to Bristol, the children will have to change school, I’m worried that it might affect
their studies.

9. Bill really has never recovered from losing his wife in a car accident 2 years ago. Because they had
been married for twenty years.

10. I want to find my own apartment, but my parents think I’m too young to leave home.

11. The place we live now only have 2 bedrooms. We are going to think about to/of moving home soon.

12. I will never forget the day I got/were married. That were the best day of my life.

13. The day I decided to change my job/ career was the biggest turning-point (bước ngoặt) in my own
life.

14. I had some bad times, but the lowest point in my life was probably when I lost my job at IBM.

15. My father spent his whole/own life in navy. He traveled all over the world.

1. I’ve worked hard all my life. Now I’m looking forward to retiring. (retire: nghỉ hưu)
2. I was in India last month. Tai Mahal is so incredible (khác lạ). I’ve never seen anything like that/it
in all my life.
3. 3.My grandmother is nearly 90 now. She has been/got married 3 times and lived in 60 different
countries. She had a very full life.
4. My best friend had enough money. He is going off (go off=move) to America to start a new life.
5. When I first started this job, I didn’t like traveling up and down to London on the train everyday,
but now it’s a way of my life.
6. I had to decide, if I wanted to get a job or go to university. It was a very difficult choice.
7. I’m going to give this job up and go back to college. I hope I will make a right decision.
8. I’m pleased you are going to study at Oxford. I think you’ve made a very wise choice (lựa chọn
khôn ngoan).
9. It was completely the wrong decision to come here in October . the weather were freezing.
10. I hear/ heard that you are thinking of becoming a boss. Personally I think that would be a bad
move(chuyển biến).
