Farmhouse Bandung is located in Lembang District, Bandung. It is the first European
theme attraction ever built in Indonesia. It might seem odd. Especially for foreign
tourist to go all the way to a tropical country. Just to experience Europe again. But
hey, why not keep an open mind?
Farmhouse Bandung has its own quirk that makes it a charming place to go. The
place originally created to promote Lembang’s local specialty, fresh milk. The
founder believes it’s a good idea to promote this local specialty. With a bit of an
international touch.
Hence, the concept of European farming village come up. While strolling around
Farmhouse Bandung. A cup of this delicious fresh milk is ready to serve. The
farmhouse has just open in 2015. But its popularity rose through the roof thanks to
its uniqueness.

A European atmosphere with a tropical setting is an interesting combination worth
to explore. Instead of Switzerland’s snow, visitors will get Bandung mountain mist
instead. That and occasional tropical downpours on the rainy season seems to
blend well with European medieval houses.
Farmhouse Bandung Village
Come early in the morning while fogs still covering the area. When the fog starts to
disappear, rows of wooden medieval houses will come into sights, like a gift being
unwrapped. Stroll along the small street and immerse the European feels. Forget
being in a tropical country for a while.
Between the replicas of houses, pumpkins and farmer markets. There are real and
operating cute cafes, patisseries and vintage shops. They add more nuances to the
whole European atmosphere in this place. Buy some croissant at the small shop
Croissant de Paris.

Not only culinary experience, but Farmhouse Bandung also offers a picturesque landscape.

Around the corner, be sure to visit the Brew Coffee Cafe. A cozy and picturesque
cafe like in Italy or France. The baristas will surprise guests with some amazing latte
arts. Vintage shops selling souvenirs, postcards, and other tidbits. The shops’
design is so convincing.
That it feels like visitors coming to a real city in Europe. Amusingly enough, there are
some Indonesian souvenirs sell in these shops, such as magnets resembling
Indonesian popular snacks and instant noodles. The magnets actually are visitors’
favorite – so go buy and bring home some.

Farmhouse Bandung Costume Party

What’s more fun than walking around a medieval European village. Wear a costume
and voila, it feels like a few decades back. For more immersive experience, rent a
traditional European dress while exploring the village. Those colorful dresses would
make ladies feel like Belle.

Or Cinderella depends on what everyone’s favorite Disney princess is. The dresses
come with bonnets, and a basket of flowers to complete the sweet village girl look.
Apart from traditional European dresses. Visitors can also pick cowboy costumes or
Native American costumes.
How Cowboys and Indians correlate to the European atmosphere, that’s a mystery.
Nonetheless, it’s fun! If many people rent and wear costumes, the whole place would
feel like an amazing movie set – or a huge costume party. Visitors can rent these
costumes for IDR 50,000 per 2 hours.
Farmhouse Bandung Petting Zoo
Inspired by a dairy farm, expect some domesticated animals in the area. The petting
zoo’s main star is probably the cows. They’re the one producing milk that’s a
specialty here. One visitors get after they bought the ticket.

So now, give these wonderful creatures rewards by feeding them some grass. Other
than cows, there are also sheep, swans, birds, and rabbits. Everyone can interact
and feed these animals too.

Hobbiton At Farmhouse Bandung Lembang

No need to go to New Zealand for Hobbiton because Farmhouse Bandung has
hobbit houses too. They’re just like in the movies. Rounded design with the roof
covered with straw, grass, and plants. Go inside along with other curious explorers,
but watch for the head – its height is only half of the human height. No one will find
any hobbits here though, only adventures.

Farmhouse Bandung Backyard Kitchen

At the end of the visit. Go dining at Backyard Kitchen. The only restaurant in this
farmhouse is charming. With its rustic European interior and big windows. The
menu ranges from Indonesian delight to European classic – Try Nasi Goreng or
Wagyu Classic Steak. Prices start from IDR 25,000 to IDR 150,000, a bit expensive,
but here the ambiance wins over the price.
