AT-741 Series
L-Band Blade Antenna
These L-Band blades utilize a new concept of antenna design and manufacture which
makes them ideal for commercial as well as military application. The radiating element is
encapsulated in an epoxy dielectric body by a transfer molding process. This simple design
has several notable advantages:

1. Moisture Proof. The antenna is impervious to moisture penetration either by direct

immersion or by extended exposure to high-humidity conditions.

2. Rugged Design. The interlocked mounting base and radiating element, molded
into the dielectric body, are a completely unified, integral, and rugged assembly.

3. Economy. The molding process is a high-production technique, substantially

reducing ante nna cost. The antennas have been used with various equipment such
as DME, IFF, TACAN, TELEMETRY, BEACON, and various ECM systems.

The AT-741 is provided with a BNC female test probe for preflight checkout.

Although Harris manufactures all of the above AT-741 types, Harris strongly recommends you
replace all A/A, B/A with the B/B version when you reorder. The B/B version of this antenna
improves mechanical performance with side-load levels to 15 psi.
