Exercise 1

Last weekend we were in Paris with Paula and Joseph. It was their wedding anni-
versary and there was a party to celebrate it on Friday. Tony and Suzy weren’t at
the party because Suzy’s mother was in the hospital. The party was great. Many
friends were there and the food was delicious. However, Paula and Joseph were a
bit sad because their daughter wasn’t at the party. She was in London on a school
trip. Anyway, it was a wonderful party and we were really happy there.

We went back to London and a detective knocked at my door on Monday morn-

Exercise 4

Erika went to London, in England. She took a flight very early on Saturday
morning. She arrived in London at 7:30 am and it was very cold and windy
there. She took a taxi to the hotel and called her friend John on the way.
John went to the hotel where Erika stayed and they had breakfast togeth-
er. After breakfast, they went to the city centre. They saw the London Eye
and visited some museums. Erika was very tired so they stopped and sat
down for a few minutes. They drank water and ate some snacks. Erika
went back to the hotel at 5 pm. She had a shower and rested for 2 hours.
At 8 o’clock John went to the hotel and collected Erika. They went to a
night club. They danced all night long and Erika made many friends. She
enjoyed her holidays and she loved London.
