PRESS RELEASE
The alleged suspect in the death of Jenae Gagnier, Also known as “Miss
Mercedes Morr”, has been identified as 34-year-old, Kevin Alexander Accorto
with an address in Florida. Accorto was the second person found at the scene
at 5200 West Pointe Circle in Richmond on Sunday evening. The cause of
death for the victim and Accorto will be released directly from the Fort Bend
County Medical Examiner’s Office. As this is an ongoing investigation, no more
information will be released at this time.
The Richmond Police Department is confirming the identity of the victim involved in what is believed to be a
murder/suicide which occurred at the Cortland Apartments addressed as 5200 Pointe West Circle on
Sunday afternoon. The body of 33-year-old Jenae Gagnier, better known by her social media name of
“Miss Mercedes Morr”, was discovered at her home in the Cortland Apartments at approximately 4:30 PM,
Sunday afternoon, August 29, 2021. A second body, believed to be that of the suspect was also located in
the residence. The identity of that suspect is being held pending notification of family. At this point in the
investigation, it is NOT believed that there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim. The
cause of death for both individuals is pending autopsy results from the Fort Bend County Medical
Examiner. At this point, this is being considered a murder/suicide and it is an ongoing investigation to
determine motive in the case.
Richmond Police are currently working a death investigation scene at the Cortland Apartments located at
5200 Pointe West Circle in Richmond. Officers originally responded to a welfare check at this complex at
approximately 3:48 PM, Sunday afternoon, 08/29/2021. Upon arrival officers discovered two deceased
individuals inside one of the apartments. The deceased individuals, one female and one male, were both
in their 30’s. At this time Richmond detectives are looking at what could be a possible murder-suicide
case, however this is an active investigation. The names of the deceased will not be released until all
immediate family has been notified.
