I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
a. Identify the different characteristics of art styles during Neoclassical and Romantic periods;
b. Appreciate the arts of Neoclassic and Romanic arts and;
c. Create own artworks related to their experiences specific art style from Neoclassic and Romantic
Periods.

III. Learning Process


Teacher
a. Preparatory
- The teacher asks one students to lead the prayer
- Good morning class!
- Before we start our lesson we have rules to be followed: first, keep your cellphones in silent
mode and using of this is prohibited unless it’s necessary. Second, if you use the comfort room,
please ask permission from the teacher and use the ID sling and lastly, participate actively
because all your answer have a corresponding points.

b. Motivation
- The teacher group the class into two and the teacher give at least 5-10 minutes to complete the
puzzle and jot down what they observed and describe the puzzle, what it looks like.
- The students present their works in front. After the students present their works, the teacher
give excellent clap.
- The teacher asks what Neoclassic Art is for the recap of the last session before the teacher
discuss the Romantic Period.

c. Presentation
- The teacher will discuss the Romantic art and the three painters: Francisco de Goya y Luieutes,
Eugene Delacroix and Theodore Gericult.
- While the presentation is going on these are the questions to be asked:
- What is Romantic Art?
- Do you know some artist in Romantic Period?
- Who among you here have an idea about Francisco de Goya y Luieutes, Eugene Delacroix and
Theodore Gericult?
- What do you think are the difference of Neoclassic and Romantic Period in their art?

IV. Generalization
- How the artist of Neoclassic and Romantic Periods did organized and design their works?
- How do you show appreciation in the artworks of Neoclassic and Romantic Periods?

V. Application
- The teacher asks the students to choose a partner and create their own artworks, the teacher
will provide art materials to be used.
- The teacher will instruct them to create their own art which is related to their experiences like
the art style of Neoclassic and Romantic Period.

VI. Evaluation
- The Teacher gives evaluation through paper and pen test, each one will receive a paper to be
answered individually. The evaluation has two part, Identification for test I. and Essay for the
test II.

I. Identification
Identify the following questions
1. It is a movement that rejected much of the logic.
2. It is characterized by love of the remote and indefinite, escape from reality.
3. He considered as one of the most powerful figured and also very important in the progress of
the modern aesthetic sensibility.
4. He developed a free style which is more suitable to his subject matter.
5. He considered one of the first great exponents of 19 th century French Paintings.

II. Essay
1. What principles of the art and process were used to characterize the works of Neoclassic and
Romantic Artists?
2. During Neoclassic and Romantic Periods, painters used their painting to show their protest to
injustice and hardship. Can you think of heroes in history who used their talent in writing to
show their protest?

VII. Assignment
- Search other works of your chosen artist during Romantic Art and explain or describe your
observation in their works on a short bond paper.
