The eight stages or process involved in the development of a new product are listed
below

•Conducting marketing research to find out the consumers need and


wants.
Idea Generation
•The sources of idea generation can be found by Internal and External
sources of an organization.

•Before selecting or rejecting an idea this steps are being taken.


Idea Screening

•Concept testing refers to testing new product concept with groups of target
consumers.
Concept Development and Testing •Mainly, it done for whether the consumers understand the product idea or
not.

•It refers to the initial marketing strategy for introducing the product to the
market.
Marketing strategy Developement
•Marketing strategy includes the, Description of target market, value
proposition, sales and profit goals.

•Here the company finds out whether the new product is commercially
profitable or not.
Business Analysis

•At this stages,the company has decided to introduce a new product in the
market.
Product Development
•It will take necessary steps to produce and distribute the new product.

•Test marketing means, to introduce the new product on a very small


market.
Test Marketing
•If the new product become successful in this market, then it can be
introduced on a large sacle.

•If the test marketing is successful, then the company introduces the new
product on a large sacle all over the country.
Commercialization •It can be advertises through, TV, newspaper, and Magazines etc.
