Q. Which rocks wear away easily?

You will need


●pieces of different rocks
●pieces of white paper
●soft cloth

Method
A Take two rocks and write their names in the table below.

B Rub the two rocks together 10 times. Collect any bits of rock that fall on a piece of white
paper.

C Dust your two rocks gently with the soft cloth. Look at your rocks carefully, and look at any
bits of rock on the white paper. Has one rock worn away the other, or scratched it? Write
down what you see in the table.

D Repeat steps A to C for other pairs of rocks. When you are rubbing the rocks together, try
to press them together with the same force each time.
