The two diagram presents the whole phases of cement manufacturing and how concrete is

produced for constructing industry.

Overall, the process of making cement consists of four stages, beginning with crushing the
limestone and clay and ending up with grinding process. Whereas there is only a mixing process
in term of concrete manufacturing.
In cement production, limestone and clay serve as raw materials for cement production. They are
crushed initially through a crusher machine. The powdered form obtained are then mixed
together through mixer and is heated in a rotating heater at a fixed temperature. Finally, the
heated powder is transferred into the grinder machine to smoothen it into a fine and smooth
powder form. The prepared cement is then packed in bags.

On the other hand, in concrete manufacturing, the procedure of making it is based solely by
mixing 15% cement, 25% sand, 50% gravel (also called small stones) and 10% water , all in
precised proportion. All the items are mixed together in a concrete mixer.
The diagram shows the process of growing wheat for selling in the UK in a typical year
Overall, there are six stages in the process, starting with ploughing the soil and ending up with
selling the crop to the stores.

The first tree steps happens in the autumn which is between September to October. Initially, the
farmers prepare the field by plowing the soil to bring the fresh nutrients. Then, the farmers
spread fertilizer to increase the soil quality. The next step in the process is they place the seed at
a measured distance below the soil.

After the completion of planting process, the seed usually grows bigger in the spring which is
between March to April. During these months, the farmers maintain their crop by spraying the
crop with insecticida to mitigate crop damage caused by pests and also with weedkiller to control
the wild weed. After four months, in August, the farmers start to harvest the crop using a
combine harvester. Finally, they sell the wheat to the store.
The map presents
two possible
locations for a new
industrial plant in
Mtwipi town.
Overall, The main
difference between
the two sites is that
A is in the
countryside area close to the motor way, whereas B is in the housing area near the
town centre. Both of the potential places are close to the railway.
The first possible site (A) is situated in the countryside. It is far away from the town
centre and just outside of the housing area. It is near the railway and motor way that
links the mtwipi town having 100.000 population with kawali airport of 5m
population. This location would be ideal for those living in housing area and near
kawali airport since the site can be reached through the railway and motorway.
However, it would be difficult for people from the town centre because there is no
access for transportation to reach it.
Meanwhile, the B site lies in the housing area. The site is near by the the town centre
and also the port which has a railway route to takinita with 10.000 population. The
place is accessible for the worker from the town centre, housing area, and also people
from talkinita. It also has an access from the sea since the port is located quite close to
the site. But, there is no transportation access for those living in kawali to come.
