Please find below the final timetable for this summer's examination series. As we have
communicated previously, CAIE (Cambridge) are running a normal examination timetable for IGCSE
and IAL qualifications.

Pearson released an update over the Easter holidays, outlining the di!erent approaches that schools
can take for awarding grades for GCSE, GCE and IAL results. We will be running internal examinations
during the examination period; the grades and marks from these, supplemented with other assessed
pieces of work that students have completed, will be submitted to the board. The range of evidence
we have and are collecting, from the students will reflect their performance and ability to ensure
they receive the grade they deserve. In the same way, last summer's examination series was run,
grades and evidence will then be uploaded for the examination boards to verify and confirm. As has
been well documented, the focus this year will be on using teacher assessments and judgement in
the overall grades awarded.

In all of this, it is important that the students are clear as to what is expected of them and how their
grades will be awarded. In choosing the best approach, importance was given to students being able
to prepare in time and for them to be able to sit a complete examination window. This is vital for
them, not only to ensure they achieve their best grades but also as an experience to go through for
their future studies. In the attached timetable, consideration has been given to ensure that students
have time to prepare and receive a reasonable spread of timing of examinations.

 Study leave

Year 11: Starting Monday 3rd May. The final examination will be 11th June, students will not be
expected to return to school a"er the final examination and will be invited to attend our end of year
event.

Year 12: Starting Monday 3rd May until Friday 4th June inclusive. Year 12 students will return to
school on Monday 7th June.

Year 13: From Monday 10th May. Students will not be expected to return to school a"er the final
examination and will be invited to attend our end of year event(s).
