2. Redundancy and redeployment policy and procedures

Aim of policy

The Policy of the company will follow the fair and equal procedure of the redundancy and
redeployment which mainly applied with the Fair Work Act 2009. It is correlate with the
exploration of various alternative opportunities in employment.

Scope

These prescribes policies and procedures will apply only to the permanent employees or staff
members of the campus in King Edward VII College, which include the full-time employees and
other staff members who is having an experience of working in this campus for 24 continuing
months (Lieberman, et al., 2017).

Key principles

The imperative aim of this policy and procedure is to assure that if there is having any
organizational changes occurs which directly impact on the staffing requirements:

 We should adopt a fair and transparent approach for the management of Redeployment
and Redundancy.
 In Redeployment and Redundancy process, manager, staff and employees should
cooperate.
 Training and development support s provided by the college to ensure and to assist the
staff members.

Definitions of redeployment and redundancy

We witness that, there are plethora of reasons why would employees be added in the
redeployment and redundancy for registering themselves such as:

 The particular type of work we need will reduce or diminish or even come to an end.

 The required post for the employee will cease to exist like restructure change.

An individual may not able to perform their responsibilities due to the reason of health problem
after adjusting reasons which had been considered.

 Result of it will show the type of harassment and bullying complains.


 There is a breakdown of relationship between the superiors and their subordinates.

Redeployment procedure

There we can witness the plethora of Redeployment procedure are as follows:

 Provide notification to the affected employees


 Registration of Redeployment
 Provide the notification regarding vacancies
 Interview Conduction
 Period of Trials
 To find out the Redeployment period (Osterwalder, et al., 2018)

Redundancy procedure

There we can witness the plethora of Redundancy procedure are as follows:

 To provide consultation
 To provide notification to the affected employees
 To select for Redundancy
 To provide the alternatives of Redundancy
 To seek the new job
 To appeal
 To provide qualification criteria for the payment in Redundancy
