CHAPTER 3

EVALUATION OF PRACTICUM EXPERIENCES

3.1 INSIGHT GAINED FROM ALL PHASES OF OJT

In the field training period we have gained experience of several of

them how to work in a team, how to communicate with different people that have

different culture and attitude, How to practice and apply what I learned in the

university, How to use different systems and application. Being a Productive and

Positive Team Member. How to spend 6 plus hours a day at work juggling phone

calls, emails and correspondences. Find ways to avoid time traps and to improve

existing processes to be not only more productive at work, but much less stressed.

To be professional in dealing with other at work; being flexible in work environment

and effective customer relations. Also exchange knowledge and share experiences

with other trainees

3.2 PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

The only problem which is not a problem really but a difficult for me was keeping

up with track on work and current updates for a limited period of time to get them

all ready. Another problem is that 120 hours are not enough time, very short

periods to give information about work practice it.

21
1

College of Administrative and Financial Sciences

3.3 SOLUTIONS OFFERED

There should be a system that reads all the papers automatically so we would not

have to enter every single sheet of paper manually so avoid any type of type-

writing mistakes and to save more time. Also I suggest increasing the training

program period.

3.4 RECOMMENDATION

 Employee must ensure that a job must perform on time to accomplish it

within the given time period with the best performance.

 Everyone should be devoted on their own.

 All employees should come in on time on a daily basis unless they have an

excuse.

 They should follow all rules and regulations to avoid any problems.

 Employees should be cheerful and be friendly so they could be able to work

as a team and have a friendly atmosphere.

3.5 CONCLUSION

Newly graduates and employees are necessary to undergo OJT because OJT is

one of the best training methods because it is planned, organized, and conducted

at the employee's worksite. OJT will generally be the primary method used for

broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. It is particularly

appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an employee's job -

especially jobs that are relatively easy to learn and require locally-owned

equipment and facilities.
