A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES
A. Prayer
“Let us pray first, anyone who wants to lead (One student will lead the prayer)

C. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES
“What crops are planted which is common in your (students will raise their hands and
barangay or town? Have you tried planting your answer)

you use in planting your crops?”

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT AND THEIR
CLASSIFICATION.”

IV APPLICATION
PERFORMANCE TASK
Procedure:
1. Collect pictures of various farm
tools, implement, equipment and
instructional
manual. You may clip pictures from
the internet, old books, magazines,
newspaper, etc.
2. Cut the pictures and paste them
to a short bond paper. Then, write
their
function/s.
3. Compile the sheets in one folder
and submit them to your teacher
IV. GENERALIZATION
1. These are the most simple tools since they are used with your bare hands in performing farm
operation and practices in a small farm or vegetable garden in the backyard or in school.
2. These are accessories which are pulled by working animals or mounted and which are
usually used in the preparation of land. These are usually made of a special kind of metal.
3. What hand tool that has a curved blade attached to a short handle which is used for
harvesting grains or cutting grasses?
4. A hand-propelled vehicle used for hauling trash, manure, fertilizers, planting materials and
other equipment.
5. It is a machine which is used in harvesting grain crops. It is the combination of harvesting— reaping,
threshing, and winnowing. It is one of the most economically important labor-saving inventions,
enabling a small fraction of the population to be engaged in agriculture.

easily break or damage and will not function well. It can cause accidents as well.
