 What is your favourite Bohs

Winning the league in 2009. What
a way to finish my first season as a
Bohs fan!
 What was your worst Bohs
moment?
The 3-2 game in Galway in 2010.
We knew we'd blown the league
after that.
 Favourite Bohs player?
Owen Heary. A brilliant example for
our younger players to follow.
What do you think of the
new signings Bohs brought in
over the off season?
I’m happy with them. Chris Lyons
looks excellent and the addition of
the experienced Dean Delany and
Stephen should be crucial.
What did you think of Bohs
performance against UCD?
Considering the weather and the
state of the pitch I thought we
played well. At the end of the day,
winning your first game is all that
matters.
Do you think we can beat
Rovers this season again and
maybe do the double over them
again?
Rovers squad has improved from
last years but this squad has the
makings of something special so
I'm very hopeful but also realistic.
Do you think Bohs will do
well in the cups this season?
Yes, I think we can go far in the
cups. If we get the luck of the draw

THE HEARTBEAT
OF THE CLUB
by Lisa Fallon

I
n December 1931, Manchester
United were on the brink of
bankruptcy.
A man called James Gibson
stepped in to save the club and it
was his vision, along with club sec-
retary Walter Crickmer and chief
scout Louis Rocca, to change the
way the club did its business.
It was time for the club to pro-
duce its own players and so the
club’s first youth system (Manches-

born.
Their aim was to harness the tal-

youth development system that • Senior squad member Karl Moore and Youth Director John Daly pictured keep-
